Description

Here we have a 1965 K Kode Mustang Fastback. It has the original data plate and it is in the Hipo Mustang registry. I will let the pictures do most of the talking but here are the highlights. The data plate decodes as follows; 5 1965 R San Jose 09 Fastback K 289 Hipo Engine 151778 Sequential Unit Number 63A Standard Bucket Seat Color A Raven Black Trim 26 Black Standard Date 27K October 27th, 1964 DSO 62 Houston, Texas Axle 5 3.50:1 standard Trans 5 4 speed manual. This is a numbers matching car that has been professionally restored, please have a good look at the pictures that have been provided. The restoration was completed on July 11 of this year and the car was put on the road at that time. The mileage of the car on July 11, 2016 was 100,567.On July 17 2016 it placed 2nd in its class at a local carshow, having not even been properly detailed at that point. On August 1st 2016 it won a trophy at the Western Canada Shelby Show in Surrey, BC. As you can see, it was a VERY rust free gem. The motor was completely rebuilt and broken in properly by a professional mechanic. It has a fresh .030 over bore. It has an original "Cobra Induction Package" Tripower system including the impossible to find correct lid. To the purists; -The car has a Shelby style hood on it as you can see. I have the original hood that was restored and painted black at the same time, by the same shop that painted the car. -The car currently has a Tremec 5 speed installed that requires no modification to the car. The numbers matching toploader, HEH T, serial number 011555 is included in the auction. -The orginal intake, (4J15), is included if for some reason you do not like a real Tri power system. -The steering box is the original HCC AX and is pictured. -The AM radio, although stock in appearance, has been modified to a 300W system with FM and iPod capabilties. Its has the kick panels speakers installed. The car also come with stock, black kick panels. -All of the panels are original Ford parts with the exception of the rear valence and the front stone guard. -The body is full of orginal date stamps and tool marks. -The Ford 9" rear end had been upgraded to a Traction -Lok unit, posi was not available in 1965 believe it or not. -This car has the Concours Arvinode Exhaust System installed, (Waldrons). With the Tri power system this car sounds UNBELEVIABLE! -The car has a genuine FoMoCo 4 in 1 gauge and a genuine Rotunda 8,000 tach installed. -All the Hipo goodies are date code correct and installed, (Fan, early style balancer, dual point distributor, etc) -I realize that the fuel pump is not the correct "button top" style but it is a NOS one with a stamping of 3939-S. It fuctions perfectly. -I has a nice set of correct repo plug wires, hoses and fan belt. -Lets not forget about the Cobra Dress up kit that consists of the Open Letter Valve covers and the T oil pan. -Please note the correct C4ZE G2 radiator. -Please note the modern, dual bowl master cylinder. This is a sensible upgrade. I have the single pot one that goes with the car. -Speaking of brakes, the car has original Kelsey Hayes disc brakes Finally, the car has been set up for my particular driving style. You may want to adjust things like the clutch, the idle, who knows what. With the 5 speed the car turns about 2,000 RPM at 70 MPH. With the toploader its about 2900 RPM. I have installed an after market console that attaches with velcro and can be removed in seconds. I realize that potential buyers are going to have many questions. You are welcome to call me after 3:30 PM Pacific Standard Time, Monday to Friday at 604 300 2802. I am off weekends and I can generally respond to questions sent through the eBay mail system pretty quickly. I will attempt to post some video links here as well, I have several. This car is located in Canada, about 5 minutes from the Washington State border. The purchase price INCLUDES all of the fees required to properly and legally import this car back into the US. The advantage to the buyer in this case is that you recieve a lien free car that is not stolen and is gauranteed to be exactly what I say that it is. I will assist the buyer with shipping. pre purchase inspections are encouraged and welcome. This transaction is handled by an American Brokerage Firm who's sole interest in the matter is the protection of the buyer. Do not bid on this car if you are not going to complete the deal. Call with offers and questions, I doubt the car will last for sale for the whole auction. AND LASTLY, I DO NOT NEED HELP SELLING THIS CAR. Please DO NOT repost this ad on any websites or club forums. Thank you and good luck!
