Description

Up for auction is a 1968 Torino V8 289 with an auto C4 transmission. Numbers matching engine, trans and differential. This car has been properly maintained by our shop in Detroit for the past 3 years, and the owner is asking us to sell it for him, his friend owned it before him.The car runs and drives great, always cared for and garage kept. It has always been stock with exception of the radiator.289 2 barrel with a brand new carburetor we put on this fall. Starts right up with no issues. Recent service was a new rear trans seal, transmission service with a shift kit for a little bit more firmer shift, new valve cover gaskets, and new aluminum radiator with internal trans cooler. Keeps the engine very cool on a hot day. It has a nice exhaust note, not loud but sounds great at idle and going down the road.Tires have plenty of tread left on them, and the brakes work great, as well as the power steering. All windows and doors, lights, heat, wipers function properly. Solid trunk as seen with original trunk mat and spare tire with jack. Tons of room for a few golf bags. The interior is great, in near perfect condition, no rips or tears in the seats or headliner or visors. The dash has no cracks or sun damage at all.The torque boxes will need replacing at some point, but the car is a perfect driver as is. It is a very common thing to replace on these models, and very easy to get ahold of and have a body shop tack them back in.The body has a few bubbles and cracks from a paint job about 10 years ago, it is still shiny and glows in the sun.The snorkel for the air cleaner is being painted at the body shop right now, and the stock steering wheel will be put on the car before the auction is over. This a very fun and easy car to drive and have fun in. Perfect for a daily driver.Clear Michigan Title. Please feel free to contact us between 10am-9pm with any questions 313-207-4144. or text. motorcityspeedworks ayt gmail.
