This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible is a highly sought after collector vehicle. This model, specially the 1976 which is the last year, s appreciating daily and becoming increasingly hard to find. This Eldorado is in its original state and is in overall good shape for the age. This classic is a perfect candidate for restoration or with very little attention can be made into a very presentable daily driver. Care has been taken to assure very good driveability. The drivetrain is in good running condition and can be driven daily in its current state. Starts easily and is smooth running. No major leaks and four matching near new tires.
The exterior of the vehicle is in good condition with a very straight, lean, ust free body. All glass in good condition. The chrome is what you would expect from an Arizona vehicle; very smooth, lean and shiny condition. As noted in the pictures you will see the plastic extensions between the body and bumpers are missing; one in the front and one in the rear. Other plastics along rear bumper will need attention as well. The convertible top is in good condition with rear glass in tact. The Convertible top operation itself is good as well. In colder weather the motor needs some assistance; possibly a hydraulic fluid flush for the top motor. Rubber weather stripping around windows will need to be replaced as with any vehicle this age from Arizona would.
The interior of the vehicle will need the most attention as do most AZ classics. Power windows and locks are in good working condition. Left rear window is not operable. Cruise Control works intermittently, ower antenna tries to come up and down, actory 8 track radio turns on but does not produce sound. HVAC system has power but neither the heat or AC are working. Allgaugesand warning lights seem to be in good operating condition. Driver door armrest has cracks; pass door is great. Front split bench seat is in good order with both side power seats working. Dashboard shows small cracks on the lower section and could be repaired or covered. Carpet is red and could stand replacement from fading over the years.
This classic is really an excellent place to start for the collector. In its unmolested state; it shows well and fun can begin immediately. I believe this one is an excellent candidate for restoration! This car has all the ingredients to be the $40k+ Barrett Jackson car! I encourage all calls with questions or for more information.
