Description

It's been called the "Timeless Classic of the 21st Century" by TrendMotor Magazine. . .

Upon viewing it the first time, everal influential members in the automotive world suggested "all design work on all other models should cease since perfection has been accomplished!". . .

What could cause such visceral, motional reactions? An offering from Bugatti? Ferrari? Aston Martin? Rolls Royce?

No. . .. I present to you, ine ladies and gentlemen of eBay. . . the Honda Pilot, irca 2004.

While most people have memorized the specifications and details of this particular model, include them here for us all to fully appreciate:

MAKE: Honda Pilot

Year: 2004

COLOR: Plain-Jane Vanilla White. While it cleans up well, he paint is 12 years old and certainly shows its experience. There are the obligatory door dings, inor chips that look like they've been touched up with Liquid Paper and the clear coat is not quite as shiny as it once was. All of these add to the uniqueness of the car and are a tribute to past good times.

ENGINE: 6 cylinder. The engine runs and has always run like a champ. It is current on all maintenance and I just had the oil changed 2 days ago.

TRANSMISSION: automatic, speed

MILEAGE: ~158,000 miles. To some, hat might seem high, f you consider driving around the circumference of the Earth 6 times as "high mileage". At the same time, his car has NEVER left us stranded and literally runs like a top. I'd hop in this car and drive to Alaska without any hesitation.

TIRES: All new with essentially no wear. They still have the little rubber "nibs" still on them.

WHEELS: Anyone can throw on a set of 21" wheels and call it a day. This car still has the vintage stock aluminum rims with the expected scratches from a car with this unique history.

BRAKES: Yes; ABS, lah, lah, lah.

AIR CONDITIONER: MEAT LOCKER COLD. If this car could run long enough with the windows down, t alone could combat global warming! This is actually the best part of the car and the main reason I'm hesitant to sell it.

INTERIOR: Institutional gray leather which in in OK condition. There are no known tears but it could use a good cleaning and leather conditioner. Carpet is battleship gray. Again, t is 12 years old and I cannot guarantee there are not a few coffee stains and feral french fries under the seats. Our kids grew up in the car during their "sippy cup" years. Spills and a few stains are par for the course.

SEAT WARMERS: Heck yes; high and low settings. It'll cook your backside in you don't watch out. Best part is while my wife and I can drive around in warm seats during cold weather, he kids are free to complain about the temp being too cold (due in part to the wickedly cold AC!) Rolling down the windows to encourage them to be quiet never affects your driving comfort.

3RD ROW SEATING: Heck yes. While it helps if you are a prepubescence child to sit in the 3rd row, he Pilot has a 3rd row seat which completely folds down and hides away in the event you need extra room to move groceries, yard of mulch or even a dead body rolled up in carpet. (seats 8 total)

WIPERS: Yes, in font, ne in rear.

SLIGHTLY MORE SERIOUS: If you are the sort of person who lets a car define them, his is definitely not the car for you. It is the definition of a "grocery getter". But if you are a person of special confidence. . . one who marches to the beat of a different drum. . .. a renegade who will let some other sucker take the depreciation hit and pick up a good car at a fair price. . .. Let's talk!

This is a used car with a bunch of miles on it. Please do not point out its many flaws and then low-ball me with some silly price. You'll only be wasting your time and mine. I KNOW the car is not perfect. It is priced accordingly. If you want a Pilot with no issues in perfect condition, suggest contacting your local Honda dealership and forking over $35,000. Problem solved

TITLE: Yes, have a clear, lue TX title.
