Description

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON! MY TITLE IS CLEAR BUT IF YOUR PURPOSE IS TO REBUILD AND PUT THIS ON THE ROAD YOU WILL GET A SALVAGE TITLE! IF YOU ARE PARTING HER OUT IT DOESN'T MATTER. I will give full disclosure on what I know about this vehicle in all honesty so you can make an educated decision to bid/buy. No time for games. The car was hit. The car is used. FOR THE JUNK / BODY / MECHANIC GUYSAs a parts car - this is a total working operational vehicle that I can still drive. It was hit on the left rear door and quarter by the tire of an SUV. The damage is not severe. SUV got too close not paying attention going in the opposite direction and turned into me. See the pictures. Not a bad hit and an easy fix. You have a boatload of stuff to part out. I will list the good and the bad later on. I don't have the time or facility (or the wife) to allow for me to part this out on my property- even though I know the value if I were to part it out will greatly exceed what this sells for here as a whole car. FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO BUY AND FIXAbove says CLEAR TITLE - because that is what I have in my hand. BUT - this car has gone through the insurance process and according to their assessment this car is a total loss. What that means in your particular state to buy this and put it back on the road I do not know what they might require. I am not a dealer or a wholesaler. I don't know. You are responsible to educate yourself BEFORE bidding/buying so that we can both be satisfied with the transaction. THE GOODI got this car last summer at 158872mi to get me through the winter. The car was a daily driver for me until it got hit at 169252mi. If I didn't have another car - I would still be driving this because it IS driveable. The ONLY thing I notice is the alignment is off (I just got an alignment (169044mi) the day before I got hit!!) Drove from CT to NJ straight and tight - now the steering wheel is not straight. If you know these cars - the top of the rear wheels always tilt in a bit - the one on the left rear looks to be tilted a bit more than usual - but everything is tight and looks good mechanically to the naked eye. No obvious damage to the frame or mechanical parts as I could see. The insurance appraiser may say different but they over reach. I have not had an assessment from a body shop or ASE certified mechanic. As you know - the body shop will 99% of the time fix the car for less than the doom and gloom insurance appraiser's assessment. The tires are NEW - put on at 168824mi days before the hit - not weeks! (V-rated) - rotation due at 174824-176824miThe rear brake rotors (cross drilled and slotted with titanium Kevlar pads) were installed at 168710miFront left lower control arm installed 161200mi - inner and outer tie rods were replaced before that on same sideSame week as accident - new inner and outer tie rods on front right side and rear sway bar bushings and linksNew rear shocks (BILSTEIN heavy duty)Oil Changes were only full synthetic - next one due at 175162miEmission System Cleaning due at 171222miTransmission Fluid is full synthetic - next change due at 191661miTransfer Case Fluid and Rear Differential Fluid change due at 181544miFuel filter due at 234407miSpark plugs due at 265292mi (three coils at rear of engine (2. . ) are new with the tune up as well as fuel filter and intake gaskets)Cabin Filter and Air Filter are washableThis car was reliable and got me through winter nice and warm and snow meant nothing even with bald tires! Starts EVERYTIME and runs SMOOTH!The interior has normal wear - no tearsNew wheel center caps- still have plastic shielding on them - didn't peel it off so they'd be protected from the winter THE BADa/c will need to be charged for the summerThe Paint - When I got it there were some chips in the hood and some clear coat peeling on the right quarter - not bad but I decided to cover it for the winter with plasti dip - it would look unique and not get any worse from the weather until I could paint it properly in the summer. (of course - didn't make it to the summer. ) there was also a dent in the trunk which I pulled out and did a bubble gum fix to (I am NOT a body man!) so as you see in the pics - all the chrome is blacked out and the car looks like primer - love it or hate it. it was temporary and can peel off revealing the original paint untouched by winter. Wheels are also silver under the black peel off plasti dipOf course you see where it was hit. The front catalytic converter needs replacing. car was a smokers car before me - I did get rid of most of the smoke smell but you have to be the judgefront valance or splitter was broken when I got the car - not noticeableThe tint is also temporary - peels right off - no adhesive - the tint on the sunroof is factory tintthere is a click like a relay activating when you hit the brakes - does not affect operation - I just got used to it. car will come with no matsThe cast for the screw in the valve cover was broken so the coil pack is held in place with that red thing and some zip ties. was waiting for warm weather to fix with some JB weld or something - no big deal. The shop guys keep lifting the car without the right receivers or pads so the front pinch weld is weak - some rust there too - cleaned it up and sealed but needs repair - jack rails was gonna be my solution but never got to it. I can jack the car there when I straighten out the pinch weld - but it's not a good idea without repairing 1st. There is some rust at the front left fender well base near the door - used some sealant on that too but will need to be addressedThe drive shaft center bearing bushing was non existent when I got the car. I made my own temporary bushing so everything is tight. When I bought this the guy said no leaks - there are some but so slight - you never see anything hit the ground so maybe he didn't know. My fluid changes are extended since I only use synthetic and I never have to top off in between changes - engine and transmission. Battery is not the right size for this vehicle but it works with no problems - never got a chance to replace. Front left axle boot was leaking - did a temporary fix - regreased bearings and sealed boots - not clicking or leaking - but you should knowOne key. The 2nd key is a blank and the fob is not programmedAny questions or concerns? I will answer honestly. I think this will be a great steal for someone. My loss - your gain. BID BID BID! I ALREADY HAVE BUYERS LOCALLY. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SELL LOCALLY IF YOU EBAYERS COME UP SHORT! THEN AGAIN. THERE'S NO RESERVE!On May-01-15 at 06:36:34 PDT. seller added the following information: Mileage will increase - will still drive it here and there. Has remote start - remote will unlock doors but not lock them - locks auto lock when you start driving - all locks unlock when driver unlocks door from inside - must manually lock doors when you park and leave car unattendedI'll keep updating as I remember stuff and answer any questions.
