Momo wheels. extreme horsepower V12 - blown head gasket. more. Call. ) This is the RIGHT Jag XJS convertible to buy. BECAUSE !!! ALL of the HOSES (ALL cooling and vacuum) are NEW. And NEW STARTER. And NEW RADIATOR. And 100% BRAND NEW TWILLFAST II CONVERTIBLE TOP BY GERMAN AUTO TOPS. INC. !! (see photo BEFORE final fabric cut-out and installation of rear glass - March 2015) And. NEW WATER PUMP !! Matching dark blue parade / boot cover (not shown) is also included and has a small fabric repair. Also added is a separate auxiliary transmission cooler. Note: Radiator. starter and water pump are rebuilt. not new. I mention. in bold type. the preceding REGULAR MAINTENANCE repairs that should be done on ALL 20+ year old V12 Jags because if you are going to buy any V12 Jaguar XJS convertible all of these repairs are required. nbsp;either before you buy it or you will be spending huge money shortly after you buy it. Also. you NEVER want a radiator. hose or water pump to fail on a V12 Jag because it will quickly destroy the head gasket. Please view photo gallery to see the repairs being done. (PS: No such thing as a "good" original Jaguar convertible XJS top = all are +20 years old and getting very tired. ) Interior wood is perfect -see photos. What else??? Well. how about 16 inch Dayton wire wheels with excellent tread Goodyear tires. And new drilled rotors (see wheel photo) on front and rear brakes. with new pads. CUSTOM EXHAUST: Immediately upon buying this Jag I did a lot of "regular" maintenance before registering it. Including I also dropped the pan from the transmission to change both the fluid and screen. and inspect for residue in the pan. The pan was very clean showing almost no wear on the transmission. BUT !! in order to take the transmission pan off you must drop the exhaust system. When I replaced the exhaust system I eliminated the middle muffler (see photo) and I replaced the rear tail pipe / muffler with a nice CHROMED QUAD PIPE muffler unit. The result is that you can now actually (barely) hear that fabulous 6. 0 liter V12. and it looks great. too. Other fluid changes included correct rear differential limited slip oil change. along with fresh oil and filter. What is not right with this car? The interior lights for the back seat do not work. and the red rear bumper reflectors have been repaired. The heater-AC fan is always on low. but also works fine on medium and high. This was so minor that I decided to not invade the dashboard to replace the switch. Needs a retainer clip for one sun visor. Also has a small parking lot ding above rr wheel. The interior is very good - leather conditioning treatment every year. Headliner and carpets are in good condition. power windows work fine. AC cold. cruise control works fine. I get 16-17 mpg with this cat. unless I decide to go speeding. 100+ no problem. very smooth. Oh. also. new OEM Marelli distributor cap and rotor (3. 00 miles). I have owned this cat for five years and driven it about 3. 00 excellent. fun miles. I just bought another house and it needs some fixing up. Time to sell the Jag. Whoever buys this car will have one of the very few drive-it-anywhere totally reliable XJS convertibles. Fly into Vegas and drive it home. or I will assist with your shipper pick-up. Also. this 1994 6. 0 V12 is the last Jag V12 year with a forged crankshaft. Runs smooth on all 12. shifts great. too. As noted and pictured. I am the only person to service this XJS. My qualifications include owning a licensed motor vehicle repair and DOT inspection business near Woodstock. NY for many years. I have owned and restored many Jags. including a 1952 XK120. 1960 XK150 (2). several 6 cyl E-types. one series III E-type. and several XJS.
