Description

I am selling my 1986 Ford F150 hunting truck. I purchased it 7 years ago and used it as a daily driver for the first 3 years I owned it - however, would only suggest purchasing this truck as a project toy or hunting/farm truck.
The truck is currently in need of a new battery, tarter solenoid, nd driver side head gasket. With a temporary donor battery, nd jumping the starter solenoid, he truck will start and run. I would only run the truck in this condition in order to load it onto a trailer for transport as extended operation with coolant in the oil supply can lead to bearing failure. The KC lights mounted on the brush guard have had their switch and relay removed as they no longer work. As you can see in the pictures there are a couple significant rust holes, ne in the floorboard and spots in the rear wheel arches. The bed itself is rust free.
The primary redeeming qualities of this truck are the 6" Skyjacker Suspension Lift kit ($1500) and the two sets of wheels and tires that are included. The set of 35"x12.5" Toyo Open Country tires ($1200) are intended for street/light offroad use and are 2 years old with almost factory tread levels, here is a fifth for a spare. The other 4 tires are 37"x12.5" Super Swamper A/T that came on the truck when I bought it, nd are used when I am going out on the range. The truck also has a 6.69:1 granny first gear ratio manual gearbox (np435/t18). I am not sure as to the exact transfer case on the truck, ut the most commonly fitted one for this application is the Dana 300. The front hubs have manual lockers.
I have a pretty hefty folder containing maintenance records and receipts for the truck from the time of purchase and some of the notable work completed includes a new Centerforce Dual-Friction clutch, ew clutch master cylinder, ew brake booster, otors, ads, aliper slide pins, ftermarket dual electric cooling fans, lectric fan control module, ew water pump, ew hydraulic lifters, ew drag link assembly, ie rod ends, teering gear box, nd a new alternator and wiring harness. Via some rough adding up, have receipts for well over 3000$ in work completed on the truck - not including autozone receipts for parts I bought and replaced myself.
I had intended to pull the engine after the head gasket blew and replace it with a stroked 351 and just hit all the rust spots with some Eastwood product to stop it where it was at and call that good considering what I use the truck for. Unfortunately, haven't had much time recently as I'm neck deep in a first generation mustang build and I've started to lose interest so I figured I would sell it as a decent starting point for someone to build off of. If you purchase the truck, t will include all the parts (gaskets, lugs, il, tc.) needed to replace both head gaskets as well as a set of cylinder heads off a 1989 Mustang GT with the 5.0L high output motor - another little project I thought I would get around to. There is a CB radio installed and a whip that are of course included, nd I've also got a set of 1" thick 6061 billet aluminum wheel spacers with hardened fasteners that will go with the truck if you have any interest in them.
If you purchase the truck and live locally I am willing to deliver the truck to you after you've had a chance to see it in person and you have paid for the truck and we have completed the title paperwork etc. Otherwise, he buyer is responsible for either arranging shipping for the truck or coming and picking it up themselves.
That is everything I can think of at the moment, ut if you have any questions feel free to send me a message and I'll do my best to get back to you right away.
*This truck is being sold as-is. Mileage is listed as 142685, ut the truck only has a 5 digit odometer which reads 42685. The title when I purchased it lists the mileage as a true representation of actual vehicle mileage.
