I am helping a friend sell this flawless Ford GT. Just as a matter of reference, I have been judging cars at all types of show levels for over 25 years and have extensive experience in restoration of many marques. I am extremely picky and probably grade more on the lower side when evaluating vehicles. I would consider a 10 on my scale to be a Concour Quality vehicle, just so you have a reference. This example is collector quality and is in Concour condition from my perspective. Other than the fact that the odometer reads 5058 miles you would believe this car had zero miles if you were physically present to place your eyes on it. My friend Jim is probably the most fastidious collector I have ever known in my life. Period. To say he is A/R is an understatement.

This is an extraordinary example of what might be considered one of the truly great modern supercars of the 21st Century.

Ford GT #1191 was delivered in Mark II Black with Ebony Leather Interior and built with all four factory options. It was originally delivered to Freedom Ford in Clearwater, Florida to it’s first owner, titled in August of 2005. In early 2008 with 848 on the clock it was sold to the 2nd owner in California. My friend, the third owner bought the car with 3,011 miles in late January of 2011. He has driven the car a couple of thousand miles. All service during it’s lifetime have been performed by Ford and an extensive book of records by the current owner has been accumulated and come in a binder. All keys and books accompany the car.

The car has been owned by collectors from day one and averaged less than 500 miles per year. The photo section below this write-up displays a full CarFax ownership history from new to present.

BODY & PAINT

The body and paint on this vehicle is simply the finest you will find on a 11 year old car, unless it had zero miles on it. The body is perfectly straight and appears to have never been damaged or had any paint work in its history. Take a look at the shut lines and you will see just what I am referring to. The original factory paint matches from panel to panel and there are zero scratches, abrasions or dings. I would have to rate the paint and body at a 10 out of 10.

Glass is all factory original and free of cracks or pits.

Clear Bra has always been on the car. The current owner elected to replace most of the original bra with the brand new style material, which disappears into the paint and is not visible to the eye. I was quite literally blown away at this new material. Most of the front end, mirrors and some rear panels are covered for maximum protection from rock chips.
I could not find one chip, scratch, abrasion or even a hairline of imperfection in the paint. Black is a tough color for most to keep up, but Jim is a detail FREAK. His paint correction and maintenance to the surface is beyond any owner that I know. My detailer is the best I have ever seen, but Jim’s cars always look as though they were just done by my guy. You simply cannot find a more perfect paint specimen to buy. You could drive this car straight onto the lawn at Pebble Beach today and blow away any Black car in attendance.

INTERIOR

The Interior is completely stock, original and flawless.The dash is crack free and indicative of a car that has literally spent it’s entire life covered in a garage. I would rate the interior at a 9.999.The interior literally looks and “smells” BRAND NEW.
The Undercarriage is in fabulous untouched condition and showcases its easy rust-free life.

MECHANICAL

This Black Rocket rolls with authority, thanks to the tasteful mods that were added to the car. If you are looking at this vehicle you already know what they are all about, so I will skip my description. This example runs, handles and brakes flawlessly in every category. The car has always been serviced by Ford Dealers.

Today, this Ford GT is presented in true #1 condition, probably one of the nicest in the country.The original factory color, Mark II Black with the Silver Stripe, with the addition of the Factory Optional Forged Wheels in Black Chrome represents the high water mark for this body and quite frankly blows away any other color combination. When you add the Factory Forged Black Chrome Wheels to this combo it absolutely takes it off the Richter Scale.

The car comes with the original books and keys. The car is exceptionally well-sorted mechanically.It starts up immediately, idles wonderfully; drives straight down the road and brakes with absolute authority. It has been recently serviced and needs nothing for its new owner to do.

If you are looking for a concour example of the Ford GT to add to your collection, sorted mechanically and show worthy inside and out, then this may just be the car for you.
