Description

Selling my 2000 Chevrolet Z71 in great shape! I have owned it for the past 80k miles and it has been a great truck. I just had the transmission professionally rebuilt by Cooks Transmission Shop in Spartanburg, SC. The 5.3l engine runs great. Cranks right up and has excellent oil pressure. I have used synthetic oil since I have owned it.
It was repainted a couple years ago due to the clear coat coming off. The current paint is in great shape. It does have some minor hail damage from several years back on the hood and roof.
Interior is in good shape with normal wear. Small tear on the side of the driver's side seat. Some minor stains in the carpet that could probably be removed. Tinted Windows, toolbox and bedliner. A/C works good, power windows, powerlocks.
It has a leveling kit with 305/70R16 Mud Terrains with nearly new tread - Truck has never been offroad.
The issues that I am currently aware of:-It has piston knock the first 30 seconds or so when it is first started in the morning. It has done this the whole time I have owned it without getting worse. It is a common issue with this model / engine as found with a google search and does not affect the longevity of the engine.-It drips a little engine oil - does not smoke or burn oil. -The cable for one of the back door handles has broken. It is easily able to be opened from the inside handle.-Power mirrors don't work, have to be manually adjusted-It came with keyless entry, but it quit working a few months back
I have tried to list everything to my knowledge. All around it is a really solid truck, but please do not expect it to be perfect.
This will make a great truck for someone, and I hate to see it go. With the rebuilt transmission, these engines are known for longevit, so there should be many more trouble free miles. I would not hesitate to drive it across country.
