Description

I am selling this car for a longtime friend who recently passed away. If you ever thought you might want a Daytona this is your chance to get one at a fraction of the cost it would be to build it. I recently drove the car and it drives out really nice and is extremely fast. I have the car in my possession here at our shop. I will attempt to describe the car to the best of my ability. The car was put together by the owner (he had put together a number of other cars) spending countless hours doing so. His main transportation vehicle was a B and B Cobra. The Daytona Body was purchased from B and B Manufacturing and the chassis was built by well-known custom chassis builder Dave Bird (the chassis was done right). It has a tube chassis with a full roll cage inside the car. It has the tubular control arms. a narrowed nine inch ford rear end (will verify gear ratio) with four wheel Wilwood disc brakes. It has custom American Mag wheels with Cooper Zeon tires on it. The car has a 351 Windsor (from ATK) with a weiand intake. quick fuel carb. MSD ignition. chrome valve covers. billet pulleys and a K and N air filter. It has a TCI AOD automatic transmission with a lokar shifter and an external transmission cooler. It has a larger aluminum radiator with a Syclone electric fan and stainless radiator hoses. The car has a manual rack and pinion steering system on it and QA-1 coil over shocks all around. It does have a Vintage air unit installed providing heat (with electric valves) and air conditioning. Inside the cockpit you will find a Haywire wiring harness. custom Speed hut gauges (all electric) a Sony CD player/stereo. two twelve volt remote power sources. a custom steering wheel and Padded Racing seats with five point Race Quip harnesses’. The complete interior has the sound deadening mats installed. Unfortunately the owner passed away before completely finishing the upholstery work. It is apx. Seventy five percent complete. the carpeting needs to be finished and the door panels made. On the outside the car is painted a Copper color (exact unknown-not a show car finish though) and has dual bullet rear view mirrors. It does have the front and rear glass installed but the side windows are not installed. I do have them. the owner told me he just didn’t like the way they looked and he was going to do something different so he never installed them. The car does have the front headlights (with plexi glass covers) rear tail lights and turn signals. It has a Lemans style gas cap. working horn and windshield wipers on it too. It even has a trailer hitch installed as he pulled a small trailer behind the car when they went traveling. The car has apx 450 miles on it and has been registered and comes with a Clear Oklahoma Title. This car is for sale locally and could be sold anytime. Don't miss out on this one. The Reserve is set well below the cost it took to build this car. Happy Bidding.
