Description

FOR SALE: Starting bid lowered to $3k for quick sale!
1991 Land Rover Range Rover Hunters Edition W/ 139,xxx Miles. 2" Old Man Emu Lift Kit that rides GREAT off-road!!!! Off-road bumper and brush-guard. Safari cargo basket. No major repairs needed at all. Just had the vehicle looked over by a Land Rover Pro service technician who sad the truck is in GREAT shape from top to bottom! This is a wonderful example of an the Classic Range Rover County body style. Car has a Rebuilt from Salvage title that is in my name and easy to transfer over.
Interior: Tan cloth interior with no rips in seats or headliner. Headliner is sagging in spots. Overall excellent condition, all complete, headliner is sagging but is easily re, sprayed in place. Small rip in center of rear seat carpet. Sunroof works, with new seal. No leaks. All original. VERY WELL KEPT FOR A 25 year old car.
Exterior: Enitor Green (Stock Hunter Color) Some spots where clear coat has come off, but NO THROUGH RUST ANYWHERE! Remarkable shape for this age vehicle. Brand new BF Goodrich Off-road tires 275/195R16 on old school Defender Style Land Rover Rims in EXC condition. Full sized spare included. All trim is there!
AWD System: Runs great in High and Low. Took it off-road on Sugarloaf and it champions up anything with plenty of clearance with the 2" Emu lift.
Recently Replaced:
Sunroof seal, heater core, all engine seals throttle position sensor, power steering. Receipts for most work. Lots of documentation.
Car drives smoothly down the road at high and low speeds! Drove 100 miles in it yesterday no sweat. Low Range 4x4 works great!
I did not know this had a salvage title until I ran the VIN on Ebay. I have not yet registered the vehicle in my name, but have the title, and bill of sale. Apparently the car was in two accidents, one of which was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. This was not during my ownership. The only evidence of impact on the vehicle is in the front, in the middle of the bonnet near the lettering, and on the brush guard. It looks like it was sustained while offroading. The drivers door is also a slightly "off" shade (i think the clearcoat faded) which could mean the door was replaced at some point and resprayed...however, by looking at the car and the gaps/lines, and feeling how the doors close, you would never suspect it had been in a collision.
Full disclosure: Here is a list of the problems it still has:
Both rear windows will not operate with the switches, I presume motors are dead...easy fix
Rear Tailgate sticks sometimes
Radiator Light comes on intermittently...I replaced reservoir cap and overflow stopped, no codes appear on the onboard diagnostic that are related
Onboard diagnostic (which reports faults in order of severity) shows code 44 (LAMBDA (OXYGEN) SENSOR A )...not a problem
This causes the check engine light to come on very infrequently.
Left passenger door (rear) does not open from outside..needs small plastic part on inside to fix the lock in place and allow for door to open
As I mentioned, headliner fabric sags slightly and would be very easy to fix/replace.
All other electronics on board work great! A/C Works, Heat works, 4X4 Low works GREAT!!! This is a SUPERB trail vehicle
This car is RARE only very few of the Hunters Edition were made and only in 1989 and 1991.
My mistake...the car has a REBUILT FROM SALVAGE TITLE. Not Salvage.
