Description

Just passed Colorado Emissions testing! Special Edition Collectors Series. 41. 00 miles. Grandfather bought for Grandmother originally from Pittsburgh. She was diagnosed with MS in early 80's and not driven much after late 80's. then in 1989 relocated to New Mexico for Warmer climate. She passed in 95 and Grandfather just kept it in a partially covered car port and he didn't want to drive "Grandmas" car much. It wasn't until he turned 89 that he decided to put it back on the road as a daily driver. Surface rust became apparent under the rear window chrome piece so it was removed. sanded. primered and repainted factory 9d which didn't quite match as shown in a picture. Rear seat top is sun faded. No other rust. Very straight body. Rear padded continental hump is near perfect with one minor pin hole below and left of the keyhole. Padded roof original and great with no fading or holes. Everything works but that "miles to empty" thing. Fuses are all good so maybe it's just broken. Electric window motors replaced. electric seats. lumbar. antenna and door locks all work. AM/FM CB radio. New tires and new exhaust system. Air conditioning blows cold but I have no idea how to tell if it was changed over to R-134. Was taken in to have all belts. hoses and fluids replaced. Grandfather passed away while it was in the shop and nobody knew where he had taken the car for a month then Mom finally got his answering machine message. All work was paid for and I'm selling it for her. I drove it up to Denver from New Mexico and it ran like a dream although I was nervous of a break down but its a Very strong car! It has a leather bound owners manual but I've been told it should have an umbrella and tool kit which haven't been found. I think the only option it didn't have was a SUNROOF. Not sure why the Collectors was so much more costly to buy new than the regular Mark V back in the day. Besides a padded hump and center console I didn't see much difference myself although they didn't make but 2. 40 cars in white. Questions? Call me at 303 981-3032
