Description

Up for bids with a low reserve price we have here a beautiful 1996 Lincoln Town Car Cartier. This car is a fine example of classic american luxury at its best. The car has been garage kept its entire life and it really shows! This vehicle was purchased and added to my collection of Lincoln Town Cars and Continentals. Unfortunately it is time to pass it on to someone that will appreciate all the care and maintenance this car has seen in its life. I have run out of room to garage keep this car any longer and I can't let it sit outside. The Ivory Pearlescent paint shines like new. The paint is all factory to the best of my knowledge minus the rear bumper. It has been repainted. All factory painted pinstripe is in great shape with no fading. All chrome trim is in beautiful condition and has a bright shine to it. The factory aluminum wheels are also very bright and shiny along with the center caps. The tires are Continental tires with the correct narrow whitewall and have good tread remaining. The factory full size spare is in the trunk and appears to have never been on the ground. It is a matching factory aluminum wheel with a Michelin narrow whitewall tire mounted on it. The headlights show no fading or peeling and shine very brightly. The interior of this car speaks total luxury when you open a door and sit inside. The Ivory Leather is in impeccable condition with only very slight wear on the driver seat. All other seats look excellent and with no wear showing at all. Seats have never been dyed or reconditioned to appear new again. The pictures shown here are of the car in its current condition and it hasn't been detailed to give the appearance of perfection. The carpets are clean and with no wear. Headliner has no sagging fabric or stains. Vanity mirrors and sunvisors are like new. All power options work. This is a Cartier model so it is completely loaded minus a sunroof, which to me was a plus as sunroofs tend to leak as they age. The glass has been tinted slightly for comfort driving on bright sunny days. I purchased the car in Arizona and brought it back to New Mexico. Its been a dry climate car its whole life and it really shows! NOT A SPECK OF RUST ANYWHERE! Unlike a lot of west coast or east coast cars. Majority show signs of rust in the under carriage. The air conditioning and heater both work flawlessly. The 4.6L engine runs smooth and quiet with plenty of power. The transmission shifts smoothly with no slipping or issues. Repairs and maintenance done recently are as follows, Front and Rear brakes serviced, Front and Rear shocks replaced, Rear air suspension bags replaced (Yes this Cartier still remains an air ride car!), Front upper and lower ball joints and bushings replaced. This car has always been maintained correctly and runs and drives like it. This is a beautiful car that shines as good as the day it rolled off the showroom floor. These cars are getting very hard to find in this condition and will continue to climb in value as they are a very desirable Lincoln. Don't miss this chance to own a beautiful piece of american automobile history. If i have missed any information you would like or want to see more pictures please feel free to send me a message and i will try to answer back as soon as I can. The vehicle report shows an accident in 2002. This was a minor parking lot incident that only scratched the paint on the rear bumper. Rear bumper was repainted at that time. This vehicle is being sold as is where is and has no warranty or guarantee or any kind. No returns or refunds will be given. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction and full payment due within 3 business days of end of auction. Vehicle or title will not be released without payment in full with certified funds.
