Description

2000 Lincoln Town Car Hearsemanufactured by Sayers & Scovill, whose tag line is "A legacy of excellence." Revered by many as the top of the line for coach, limousine and professional car manufacturers. This vehicle is fresh off a short term lease to afuneral home whose other coach was in the shop for anextended period of time. Now it is for sale. My phone number is at the end of this listing ifyou'd like to call, set an appointment to see/drive the vehicle, have afriend inspect etc.
If you're looking for a unique vehicle with low miles, garage kept and fleet maintained, this may be the one for you. If you are a small funeral home looking for a great looking later model coach to add to your fleet, this one would be a welcome addition. Any funeral home would be proud to have this in their fleet. Nice condition, good rollers, etc. Hearse season is around the corner with Halloween just a couple of months away.
2000 Lincoln Town Car Funeral Hearse, 4.6L V8, plenty of power. This is an S&S or Sayers & Scovill. Prior to my purchase, this hearse was part of a limo fleet that was leased out to funeral homes on aper funeral basis. It has never been privately owned until me and then it was leased to another funeral home, as mentioned above, so it has always been used as a professional vehicle. It has 83,000 +/- miles. Very nice all the way around. Hearses of this vintage are running in the $5000 range (sold values, not askingprices). My Buy It Now is $4500. Runs great and feels solid running down the road. The top light works. Coach is a dark midnight blue. Interior is leather and a medium blue. Definitely a unique vehicle as most coaches are Cadillacs. The 4.6L engine is the workhorse of the ground transportation industry as many Lincolns used in the livery/limo industry have this engine and are know to go 500K+ miles.
I just had the oil changed and the a/c recharged. Blowing cold now. The car has some minor scratches/scuffs commensurate with avehicle of this age that wasin a fleet. No rips or tears in the upholstery or headliner. Carpet is in good shape. Justput in new heavy duty floor mats. (I'm kinda OCD about floor mats...) The "table" and rollers in the back are also in good shape. There is some rust (as seen in pics) that is common just below the window trim on theback door. I buffed out the "rust streams" and took close up of the tailgate. I got an estimate of $250 to fix the rust and paintjust the back door but will allow the newowner to decide how toremedy this issue. Tires are good. Three are white walls and one was replaced with a black wall. Car runs out great.
Pick up and drive home or I can deliver for $1.25/loaded mile upto 500 miles.Any further and we will need to talk. Speaking ofwhich, my number is 270 872 7507. Call if you'd like to talk, do aFaceTime walk around, etc. I am in the eastern time zone, 45 minutes south of Louisville, KY off I-65.
