Description

This 2007 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited was owned by a little old lady who only drove it to church on Sundays except … she only drove it to church on Sundays for half the year because she was in Florida the other half of the year.

It is owned by my 93-year-old mother-in-law who (to our relief) has decided to give up driving. She bought it new in 2007, drove it only around the small Missouri town in which she lived until she moved to a Florida assisted living center, and it has been garaged every night of its life. The car has 8,411 original miles on the odometer … and 1,400 of those were put on it within the last week when I drove it from Missouri to Florida, during which it performed perfectly, just like the well-engineered luxury car it is. I’ve checked all the car sale web sites and this is, without doubt, the lowest mileage 2007 Town Car in America. It looks, feels and drives like new.

I could go on and on about this car … but I’m going to let the photographs speak for it.

The only visible flaw on this car is a tiny paint chip missing from the front bumper on the passenger side (see photo). In addition, it looks like she spilled something on the carpeted hump below the front seat and there’s a, perhaps, 8” area where the carpet is slightly discolored. The color difference between the stain and the rest of the carpet is so slight that it wouldn’t show up in a photo … and that can be hidden by folding down the cup holder which covers the area. Other than those two flaws, this car is absolutely, positively pristine.

In 2012 my mother-in-law had a fender bender that wasn't her fault in the parking lot of her church, which caused damage to the front end. As a result, the front fender, hood and grille were replaced. She says she was barely moving at the time – the air bag didn’t deploy -- but I do want to point this out. She didn’t tell us about it and my wife and I didn’t know about the incident until I ran a CarFax report and saw that the car had been involved in a minor accident. When questioned, she admitted she hadn’t told us about that because she didn’t want us to think she shouldn’t be driving.

So, there you have it – the story of America’s lowest-mileage Lincoln Town Car. If you are one of those people who wish Lincoln hadn’t stop making these incredible cars, this is your opportunity to acquire one that is darn near as good as new for a fraction of the price you would have paid in 2007.

I’m going on vacation, leaving September 10, and want this car to be out of my garage by then so I’m running this auction for five days only. If you’re local, I’ll be happy to show it to you at any time and to let you take it for a test spin. Depending on how many people test-drive the car, it could have a few more miles on it by the time it reaches the successful bidder but I pledge it won't have more than 8,550 miles on it.
