You are bidding on a beautiful rare sought after post war 1948 Lincoln Continental Mark 1 Convertible Cabriolet Finished in a stunning color combo of Cigarette Gray with Red interior. This particular Lincoln is from a private car collection it has been well maintained and even occasionally driven to regional events. Only 452 Convertibles were built in 1948 how many are left in this condition. Excellent opportunity to add to your well sorted collection. The body is arrow straight finished in stunning Cigarette Gray paint (correct factory color). The chrome, trim, emblems are beautiful as shown in these just taken pix. The Red leather interior presents beautifully with magnificent original details. The Radio was rebuilt by Jake Fleming. The Convertible top was replaced with proper materials. Simply an incredibly stunning V-12 Masterpiece from any angle. Restoration was very costly & completed close to 10 years ago. It was not a frame-off but very detailed restoration including pulling all the interior out and replacing all of the wiring (5 harnesses) etc.


The Mechanics;


The heart of this Lincoln is its massive V-12 it runs and drives nicely (can email comp tests just taken on each cylinder). Built with quality it has the needed power was considered one the finest driving grand touring Convertibles of its day. Car was just driven to a regional show in Greenwich CT. it ran like a champ. It was loved admired and praised by all for its elegance and superb styling cues.
