I got the car and reading the LotusTalk Forum I soon realized that many complain about the air conditioning. and being in Florida air conditioning is essential. The main issue I found out was not the air-conditioning unit. but the lack of insulation in the car and around the air-con box/hoses. The first think I did once I got the car was to insulate the air-con box and hose that leads to the dash. The interior was completely striped. put "Fatmat" the "Dynamat" substitute. on the sills and floor. Covered the side sills with Alcantara and the floor with carpeting. Also covered the dash and door inserts with Alvantara. Much nicer setup. While at it change the speakers to larger size and better quality. Radio system. Sony MEXN5000BT. with Bluetooth and hands free phone mic. Dash speakers JBL GTO528 5. 25 inches and Rockford Fosgate P1675 6. 75 inches on back. Kept the original Alpine amplifier. Considerable improvement over original setup. Engine. did the usual oil/filter and spark plug replacement routine when buying a car (no matter what the previous owner says). and replaced the original exhaust for the Lotus Stage II exhaust. so you will get both exhausts. Brakes: Painted the front calipers in yellow. just nicer. Lights. Changed the headlights to 5000 HIDS. and the high beam and park bulb to LED. Interior light also to LED. Rear lights are already LED on the 2006. That´s about it. Car has 55k miles. is a rebuilt title. damage was minimal. only front left A Arms were affected.
