1957 Chevrolet 3100 4x4 Shortbed Stepside Pickup
Has been sitting for some time. I purchased it to restore but cannot find the time. It was converted to 4 wheel drive at some time using a 1983 Chevy Heavy Half Pickup axles and engine / trans. Still sits on the original frame. The motor runs goo, lutch and trans work as they should. The brakes do not work. It still has the under floor single piston master cylinder that needs replacing. It has disc front and drum rear brakes and my intent was to purchase a under floor power brake booster and install it. The brakes are hooked up and were working before it sat idle for several years.. There is no seat. This truck runs and drives but the brakes need work.
The truck shows its age but rust is not an issue as it is a desert truck. The wood bed needs replacing. The original gas tank was removed and a toolbox / fuel tank mounted in the bed behind the cab.
Engine is a 350 4bbl with headers and aluminum intak, as disc front and drum rear brake, ower steering with tilt whee, 4 speed truck transmissio, 4x4 works.
