This is a great opportunity to own a Classic 1984 MAZDA RX 7 GSL with a 105,000 miles.


This RX-7 has been extremely well maintained over the years.


I am the third owner of this car. I purchased the vehicle from my father in law early 2000's

He purchased the car from the original owner a customer at his business in the early 90's.

As the car is over 30 years old it can now be registered as an antique.

Its age and condition also qualifies it for collectors type auto insurance typically very reasonable.


The RX-7 has been kept garaged.


This RX-7 is a Florida car and is rust free.


Since I have owned RX-7 it has been mostly used on weekend road trips.


I try to run it at least monthly to keep seals soft and tight.


The RX7 is a blast to drive.


It has not been driven in the rain in over a dozen years.


I have had 8 other ( including 997,987,356,740il ) cars during the time I have owned this one.

I would rate the RX7 head to head with any of my other cars in the smiles per mile category.


A spirited drive thru any turn will leave you wanting to do that again!


This RX-7 is a real head turner.


The engine compartment is very well detailed.

Also very tidy are the suspensio, brakes, and interior.


The paint shines up very well and is very good condition overall.


The doors, sun roof, and hood align up extremely well.


The glass is in great condition.


No bondo anywhere on body.


The power windows work.


The gauges all work as they should.


I replaced the seat belt as the originals were worn. The new belts are an excellent match with the car's interior color.


The interior carpet is plush and in great shape along with deluxe carpeted floor mats


The RX7 has been only slightly modified to optimize performance while keeping the integrity of the original design and performance intent.


The suspension was soft and sagging by 100,000 and the stock roll bars allowed the car to lean heavily in turns.


Less than 2K miles ago I replaced the following :


The stock 13 X 5 inch rims were replaced with a beautiful set of ( minilite style ) Konig 15 x 7 inch rims. The rims are a proper plus 2 configuration.


Keeping the proper rim offset and tire aspect ratio made for an amazing fit . Notice how well the wheel fits the car's lines around the fenders.


The rims are a classic design correct for the year of the car.


Currently the wheels are completely detailed and are in new condition.


The original rims and tire are also included. The original rims are in very good condition.


The 13 inch tires on original rims have > 85% tread.


The new rims are fitted with a new set of NITTO NEO GEN 205 / 50 / 15 tires. The asymmetrical tread pattern really grips the road and looks great.


NEO GEN tires fit the rims perfectly with no sidewall overhang or underhang.


The tires lower side walls provide a much better stiffer response when turning ( very little sidewall flex ).

The brake pads and brake fluid have also been replaced. This model of the RX7 featured much needed 4 wheel disc brakes.


At the same time as the tire and rim upgrade, the sagging springs and worn shock and struts were replaced with a set of TOKICO gas tube shocks and TOKIKO matched coil spring set.


Finishing the project off by replacing the factory sway bars with a set of TOKICO sway bars.


The above improvements really made the difference in how the car handles. The car is bit stiffer than original but still maintains a comfortable ride.


This RX-7 stays very flat when maneuvering thru the turns. The suspension performs equally well on a long road trip or a spirited autocross weekend.


The overall height of the car was lowered about an inch which allowed the wheels to fill the wheel wells more symmetrical than the stock configuration.


This RX-7 features the Rotary 12A motor.


In its original configuration the 12 A's smog pump, stock air intake and exhaust system left the engines performance a little anemic.


So the smog pump and associated plumbing were removed along with replacing the air cleaner with a more breathable performance air cleaner ( by Racing Beat ).


Also installed is a chrome free flow header and exhaust system ( Racing Beat ).


The new exhaust system sound great with a low full note. ( NOTE: Exhaust system has a stock level of noise output with a very street legal sound ).


The above listed improvements really did the trick. The car is now able to breath better with a noticeable improvement in acceleration performance while keeping a stock type level of reliability.


The engine is recently tuned with new plugs, plug wires and new distributer cap.


The motor starts up on first try.


The choke works as designed.


The engine is extremely well tuned and runs extremely smooth as a rotary should.


The engine has had premium oil and filter changes every 3K miles since I have had it.


There is no perceivable oil usage in 3K mile intervals.


All other engine fluids have been regularly changed ( diff, gearbox,brake,clutch ).


The clutch is working properly as are the gearbox synchros ( no grinding during downshift ).

The 5 speed shifts well into all gears.


The AC was in the middle of repair when a back injury stopped me from completing.

I have installed a new OEM compressor.

Included in the sale is the expansion valve and drier.

Just bolt on charge up and chillout.

The condenser and evaporator check out fine.


I have also replace master clutch cylinder, slave clutch cylinders,master brake cylinder, hoses, belts, steering wheel cowling and many other maintenance items.


The interior is in great shape.


No cracks in dash.


Seats are in very good shape for their age. One of the knobs on seat has a crack.


The driver seat cushion is a little soft on the front right side.


All the gauges work on the dash board.


The rear of the RX-7’s interior is in very good condition.


The car has the original doughnut spare tire and rim.


The sunroof works and stows properly with no leaks.
