Description

Beautiful Black on Black 1982 Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel. Classic W123 with shiny original paint and black leather interior. engine just getting broken in at 143k. This car was purchased new in Texas. see the original bill of sale with the photos. Have the papers / manuals the vehicle came with. Purchased from a gentleman in Virginia whose family were the second owners. passed from one brother to another. Car has been driven sparingly over the last 10 + years which is why they decided to sell. Mileage is verified & accurate. gauges work. Brought it up from Virginia to Mass as a surprise gift for my wife (we have a newer Mercedes & she has always wanted an older one). Turns out we are moving for work & really cannot deal with 3 cars. hate to sell but must. Currently renting a garage to store this as it's not being driven on winter roads. Car presents very well for it's age. please look at the pictures. Dashboard is in good shape. wood center console has cracks but still looks nice. Electronics all work except clock. windows go up & down fine. Sunroof opens. goes a bit slow. could be lack of use probably just needs grease. Heat blows hot. AC blows cool might need a charge. The leather was taken care of & conditioned over the years & is still fairly supple. Everything on the car is original (first aid kit incl) except for an after market JVC cassette radio. I have the original Becker radio that i'm happy to include with the sale if someone wants it. Has original spare & Mercedes tool kit in the trunk. It's been very cold here & i've been starting it up every couple weeks just to run the engine. starts every time. The car has not been gone over extensively & I am not a mechanic. I was told the only significant recent work the prior owner did outside of regular oil changes was a new exhaust system. In an effort to present this as accurately as possible. issues i'm aware of: INTERIOR - a couple patches in the leather on the drivers seat (see pics). Some places on the back seat where you can see the springs have fatigued a little. still looks fine - look at the pics. EXTERIOR - as it was a southern car some of the rubber & seals have fatigued. The driver's side door seal (see pics) is decayed and there is wind noise on the highway (don't notice it at lower speeds). Front windshield seal also needs to be replaced. I looked into it. seal kits are available on ebay. they're not overly pricey & you can DIY or get someone experienced. There are two minor spots of rust (see pics) noticeable only if you're looking for them. The edge of the battery tray (see pics) has some corrosion. looks like acid dripped over the years & should replace tray. battery itself looks new. Doors lock manually but vacuum hose (I think) looks like it's disconnected. probably a leak somewhere so it's bypassed but car shuts off fine. Drips a little oil. seems consistent with age. Prefer local pick up but willing to work with shipping within the US. Will answer any / all questions I can. call 917. 922. 6628
