For sale is an excellent example of a Left Hand Drive Diesel 1982 Mercedes-Benz 240GD. Ebay does not recognise foreign VIN's so it is listed as a 1980. All owner papers are in my name and proof of ownership can be demonstrated upon request. There are links to more than 130+ Photos and 2 video's if you visit myFacebook page. You will find other trucks that we have sent reviews etc. There are the photos of the car over here and then the photos that the proud new owners have sent us of them enjoying their new purchase. Or photos of it on their driveway! Not all trucks are sold via eBay and some have been especially built for customers.Gas Donkey Land Rover and 4x4 exports
The car has it's original 4 cylinder 2.4 Diesel Motor with a 4 speed manual transmission which has covered 143,436Kilometerswhich is 89,748 Miles. If you study the 130+ photos you will see what anexcellent original unmolested example G Wagon it is. I think the photos speak for themselves. The interior is clean and rip free and will seat 6 with ease. It has not had a heavy life inside.Missing, orn or broken items have been replaced with genuine Mercedes parts, even sourced a Mercedes branded CD player to replace the faulty one that was in there and the blower switch was broken and replaced with new item. No broken heater on this!Remember it is a truck from 1982.
As you can see it has had the turn signals upgraded to brand new clear items and the windows tinted. It also benefits from the wide arches and bigger wheel tyre combo plus a Nudge bar. It has not been over-modified only enhanced to look like a younger carAll in all it is a fantastic looking G Wagen that could pass for some thing more than half it's age.All parts are easily obtained from your local Mercedes Benz dealer or specialist what with the engine being the same as other Mercedes cars in the USA. The car looks as though it may have had normal rear seats as the brackets are there. It is not a Van version and is classified as a car. You may if you don't like the side rear seats, eplace them easily with forward facing ones. The photos make underneath the hood look as though it has rust. It is not rust! It is just the glue left over from the under hood sound proofing. The car reaches highway speeds and did so with ease from Valencia to my home on a 3 hour mixture of Freeway and normal roads. It does around 35 mpg. It does not overheat and the previous owner has replaced the viscous fan with an electric one which also has anoverrideswitch and an extra digital tempgauge. It is an instant turn key ready to go car.Just wait for the pre heat light to go off and it starts first crank.

This car car originates from Spain, nown for it's year round sun andexcellent climate that preserves old cars, ence the condition,NotGermany or any other northernhemispherecountry where salt is used on the roads and they are affected by the general adverse climate in Northern Europe. Important to remember when comparing to other G- wagen examples. Any G that has been in the States for a while will not be as good as this one.It is also a hard top not a cold draughty ex military soft top with very few creature comforts! This car will suit anywhere from Alabama to Alaska. It will make an excellent winter car.The car is the price it is because of where it is. If it was selling in the USA it would be a far higher price.Remember it is all original. If the car you are buying doesn't have the original engine or a replacement of the same type, t will no be allowed in to the USA! It is easy to sell a car to someone, t is another thing to understand the very strict USA importation rules.
The Spanish hot climate has been very kind to the car however there will be age related wear. I have tried to show this in the photos however it is much better than many 10 year old vehicles condition wise. The car is based in Cambrils North Spain. We ship from Barcelona, arragona or Valencia through SEFCO Shipping. This costs around $2300 port to port (based on shipping to Jacksonville) plus the 2.5% customs on top of the final agreed sale price. Buying cars from abroad can be scary but we do everything we can to help and assure you. We have an agent/sister company in Jacksonville who can help you throughout the whole process.

The car is well over 25 years old and original so it will have no problems getting in. It follows the strict USA import regulations. It is un-tampered with, ver 25 years and original, T GETS IN. Once in the USA the cars value will be greatly enhanced. All my cars are now in the USA registered and with their new owners who imported the cars themselves with no problems, s can be seen on my page. I only source original cars. You are also welcome to source your own shipping company.
