This is not that car. You do NOT want to shop for an SL600 based on the lowest price, trust me. This is a car only for a person that wants the best (or in the case of this car, BEYOND the best!), and that can appreciate this car’s condition and details below. Please understand, with these cars, you get what you pay for. I paid top-dollar to get this car because it beat every other SL55 I looked at for its combination of options, cosmetics, and mechanicals. There are beater SL’s, nice SL’s, and mint SL’s. This one is mint….period. Here's the deal: -- This is a 2007 SL55 in 040 black over black grey exclusive leather interior, with black alcantara headliner. This SL55 has only 73,xxx original miles, looks like a million bucks, and drives like a million bucks. This car was LOVED, and has NEVER had any paint or bodywork to its body panels. In fact, there hardly a single ding, dent, scuff, or scratch anywhere…it’s incredibly nice. -- -- Exterior 9 out of 10 (I'm finicky) - Great overall condition original paint, body, glass, and trim. No dings. No dents. Only some minor touched-up rock chips and scratches on the hood. This car looks amazing, with a deep shine to the black paint that's like looking into an endless mirror. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. Imagine getting a 9 year old car with no swirl marks or spiderwebs in the paint….amazing! -- -- The lower side-body moldings are in great shape. The chrome, rubber, glass, and trim are all excellent and original. No oxidation, fade, wear, rust, etc. Look at the body panels.....they are laser straight. -- -- Here are some more shots with the hard-top in place. No delamination to the rear window, no tears or pulls or fade to the headliner, the understructure is in great shape like it should be. -- -- This SL55 is highly optioned, including parktronic, panoramic roof, AMG sport package, keyless go, trunk closer, sat radio, AMG compound braking system, and TPMS (currently not active due to aftermarket wheels and tires). Almost every option you could get on a 2007 SL55!! And of course all the usual options like full leather, alcantara headliner, bi-xenon headlights, COMAND navigation, heated/ventilated multi-contour seats, and much much more. -- More of the great options. – -- Now let's get to the good stuff......MAD POWER!! This car develops over 500HP from its hand-crafted AMG supercharged V8 engine! -- -- The 20” Savini staggered chrome wheels are peeling and have some curb rash to the lips, although the tires have about 75% tread remaining. At the BIN price I will include a new set of staggered 20” performance wheels to match the existing tires, or replace them with 18” AMG-style wheels with brand new summer tires, up to the winning bidder. This SL55 also has a fresh alignment. It goes arrow-straight down the road at high speed (HIGH SPEED!). -- -- Interior 9.75 out of 10 - The interior overall including all leather, seat padding, dash, console, wood, and carpets are in great original condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, nearly zero wear of any kind on the leather. Everything looks and feels great. This is not a sun-worn southern SL..this car was garaged and it shows. No detailing yet either, this is just after a wash and a vacuum. -- -- The door panels and wood trim are also in great shape, like the rest of the car. -- -- Even the trunk is mint. -- -- Check it out with top down, ready to cruise at cruise-missile speeds on a sunny summer day. – -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory/pulse, top motors, and power mirrors work perfectly. Vacuum lock system, COMAND navigation, remote key, xenon/exterior/interior lights all operating as they should. -- -- The HVAC system is fast to respond, and operates perfectly with scalding hot heat and ice-cold A/C. Seat heaters and A/C all working properly. – -- Mechanical 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. Transmission is smooth yet very aggressive, and downshifts eagerly. No abrupt engagement, just silky smooth shifts. She runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks....NONE. -- -- This SL55 has 510HP. Now you can scare yourself and your passenger right out of your collective underwear when you floor the throttle. It’s INSANE how powerful this car is; it will spin the massive rear tires all day. -- -- This SL55 has passed THREE inspections with flying colors. A pre-purchase overall inspection for cosmetics, a post-purchase inspection for body/frame/mechanical/electrical, and an MB specialist-shop dealer inspection as well. I did a few minor repairs and updating of maintenance (wiper blades, Mobil 1 oil change, trans mount, etc), and more for close to $2000 to make sure the car is ready to go for its new owner. -- -- Engine is strong and VERY eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to drop down two gears at your command to rocket you past slower traffic. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. ABC suspension is tight like new, no worn tie rod ends, ball joints, struts, or anything else. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. ZERO leaks or noises. This car drives and handles like new. -- -- This SL55 comes with books, mats, tools, clean carfax, and its MB warranty and post-warranty service records. This car was LOVED. -- -- This SL55 does not have any top leaks, no oil leaks, no lukewarm A/C....NOTHING. Everything is in fantastic shape, and at only 73K miles, she's not even close to broken in yet! -- -- If someone selects the buy-it-now option, I will provide the following: the new set of staggered 20” wheels or the new set of 18” AMG-style wheels and tires mentioned above. Some touched-up rock chips on the nose and a few thin touched-up scratches. No mechanical problems of any kind. NONE! ZERO! ZIP!
