Description

First off, bring a trailer, as the engine has seized.

Secondly, this car as a TON of great mods worth thousands that would be more than worth saving.

Somehow all the oil leaked out without me knowing (no puddle on the floor) and no indicator light. Will not crank over now.

That said, this car has two fantastic futures:

  • Fix the engine. Probably needs a new block and pistons
  • Take all the mods from this car and add them to yours

This started out life as a 2002 Mini Cooper S with power everything, leather interior, sunroof, and a 1.6L supercharged engine. Title is SALVAGE due to an accident in 1/8/2006 (not me, like 3 owners ago) though the frame is solid and it has passed a decade of inspections with flying colors.

The true worth in this car is the upgrades:

  • Tuning by Revolution Motor Works to 240hp
  • John Cooper Works suspension package
  • John Cooper Works Big Brake package
  • John Cooper Works airbox
  • John Cooper Works 350cc fuel injectors
  • RSpeed 22mm rear sway bar
  • Mini Madness high flow air filter
  • M7 16% reduction pulley
  • Brisk spark plugs
  • Nology spark plug wires
  • O2 Racing Big Intercooler
  • OBX Racing Exhaust Header
  • Magnaflow 200 cell high flow catalytic converter
  • Borla catback exhaust
  • RMW "Jesus" Cylinder head
    +1.8 intake valves
    +2.3 exhaust valves
    Dual valve springs
    Titanium retainers
  • RMW/Newman performance camshaft
  • ACT XACT Streetlite flywheel
  • SPEC Stage 1 clutch (1,000 miles on it)
  • Quaife Limited Slip Differential

Other recent fixes include:

  • Power steering pump and wiring harness replaced per recall at 123530 miles
  • New shift cable at 133589
  • New rear sway bar links literally 2 days before the engine failed
  • 4 Falken ZIEX tires at 132497 miles
  • Replaced front top strut mounts at 132234

This was supposed to be my fixer/daily driver/autocross machine, but repairing the engine is beyond my skill or willingness to put that much more money into this car. So, hopefully my misfortune is your gain.

Grey and blue leather is in pretty good condition, a few worn spots (mainly the driver's left bolster, which gets worn getting in and out of the car) but no tears or splits.

Also included:

  • Second set of wheels with winter tires (though 2 should likely be replaced soon)
  • Spare doughnut
  • Serpentine belt tensioner tool
  • Service Manual
  • Tune computer with the stored tune (in case you want to swap out)
  • Misc parts like fasteners and clips, plus wide angle side mirrors

It is up to you to arrange transport. Car is located in Madison, WI
