Description

BOMBSHELTER CUSTOMS BRINGS YOUA 1973 Pontiac Firebird EspritThis car was found in a yard with a few other Camaros and Firebirds. we usually part out the cars and build 1950s Hot Rods out of them but this car was very complete and in good solid shape and is the more desired of the second generation of Firebirds. the last year with the metal bumper. So the story on this car is the owner of the yard bought it with no title and had it parked in the yard since 1991 he said the car was a runner and he took the front end off to do work on it and never finished it so the car sat with no hood or fenders. Over time the car got some water in the engine and the pistons are now frozen. The interior seems to have been redone at some point and the car repainted. I've checked Pontiac websites and found the car to be originally a Ascot Silver with a factory Pontiac 350 with a two barrel carburetor. I've managed to find the number on the front side of the engine located next to the timing chain cover which matches the production sequence of the Vin. As for the transmission I have no idea where to locate the vin number on it so I've not been able to confirm it. If anyone knows where I can find this number please let me know thanks PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING THANKSPlease feel free to call If you have any questions feel free to call me at (505) 738-9043 RESERVE PRICE will not be reviled unless I re-list the auction at a buy it now setting so please don't ask. Also if you have less than 10 positive feedbacks I require you to contact me before placing your bid or I will cancel your bid if you don't contact me. It cost money to re-list an item so please don't waste my time and don't forget about shipping cost before bidding thanksRUST-The rust is minimal on this car and is starting to get rust in the usual spots such as the rear quarter panels and in the trunk floor the rest is very solid see pictures below INTERIOR-The interior was half way stripped out and I managed to get most of it back together. The dash has major cracks in it and will need replacing center console needs work or replacement and the door on the console is also broken as usual. This interior is fairly clean but not perfect there are many things that need work or other small items missing I will try to find the parts it is missing. The guy I bought it from still has boxes of parts I gotta dig through. caBODY-Here are the outside pictures. the body is fairly straight has scratches dings and one major dent on the rear side of the passenger rocker panel just in front of the rear wheel. The front end is not the original and will need adjustments to line up all the lines. I've managed to get most of the parts and reassemble from what I could find in the yard I got it from. Take a good look and if you have any questions feel free to call and ask thanks for looking.
