Description

Up for sale is my beautiful 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais with the 442 option package. Excellent condition inside and out. Runs perfect with no mechanical issues whatsoever. 98. 00 miles. Very rare! Only 886 442's were made in 1980. Of that. only 540 were black and gold. The rest were white and gold. Here is a YouTube link to a video of the car so you can hear it run and drive. https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=t2Z5bTr5o-M The car was repainted in 1999 by the previous owner in it's original factory black and gold colors and still looks great. No rust whatsoever on any body panels. Just the typical surface rust underneath. No rotted bumpers or floors or wheel wells. No dings. dents or any major blemishes. Just some minor spider cracking in the paint on the plastic bumper parts on the corners. This is NOT a numbers matching car and no. I don't have the original block. All the work was done by the previous owner. From what I was told. in 2000. the original 350 V8 was pulled and replaced with a 455 CU V8 from a 1973 Cutlass. The engine was rebuilt and has 7000 miles on the rebuild. It runs and starts perfectly. No hesitation at all when you punch it! It has a mild cam with dual exhaust and has that awesome muscle car rumble to it. In 2000. the transmission was also replaced and upgraded to a 700 R4 which mates perfectly with the 455. No leaks or smoking of any kind. No drips either of any fluid. The rear axle was upgraded and is equipped with Richmond 3:42 gears and an Auburn carrier with posi. This car flat out moves! All brakes. tires. exhaust. shocks are in excellent condition with lots of life left. The AC and heat work great. All lights. horn. wipers. after-market radio/cassette deck (with the exception of the CD changer) etc. work just fine. The front and rear chrome bumpers are in good condition. No dents or dings but there is some minor pitting on the top and light surface scratches. The interior is in in very good condition. Some discoloration on some of the interior plastic parts but nothing major (I'm picky). Carpet is in excellent shape with no stains or wear. No strange smells. It doesn't appear to have been smoked in. Headliner and sunvisors are perfect! Seats are almost perfect. Just some wear along the top right side of the back seat which you can only see through the back window. The car has no mechanical issues that I am aware of. It drives great with no hesitations in acceleration. It stops on a dime with no pulling. No pulling when driving down the road. No rattles! No disappointments! These are very hard to find now-a-days and getting harder to find in this condition. Feel free to email or call me with any questions. My name is Pete. I'll answer as many questions as I can. My number is 586-337-2208. If I don't answer just leave me a message and I'll call you back as soon as I can. No low-ballers or tire kickers please. I don't need to sell it so I'm not going to give it away. And no. I don't need help selling it. I'm asking $10. 00 or best offer. Thank You.
