1961 Studebaker Lark Regal VIII 2 Door Convertible V8 Auto Transmission Mag Wheels Sound System Re-Built Engine Runs Great! Driven frequently.
The Good: Great condition for it's age. Studebaker V8 289 C.I. motor re-built less than 500 miles on the re-build. Runs, hifts and stops perfectly. No rust outs. Car is solid. Underside is clean. Paint is high gloss. Interior leather very good. Tires Good. 4-American Racing Mag wheels. Premium Alpine sound system. New gauges. AAOOOGAH horn. It can be and has been used as a 'daily' driver as it sits. It actually looks really nice. It was re-painted Dupont Imron Pearl White in the late 1980's.
The Bad: It's missing the steering wheel center emblem and one side emblem. One of the latches for the convertible roof lock is broken. Tail lights are broken, but it comes with a new set of tail lights to install). Front plastic turn signal covers have cracks.1 inch tear in the right side of the rag top, ome other minor wear spots to the rag top are evident, verall the top is very good. Cardboard liner for inside glove compartment is not there. Some minor pitting to the chrome.
The Ugly: Paint has peeled away from top of drivers door. Small bubbles in paint lower passenger door. Minor paint chips here and there.
The Rest Of The Story: No Title. Connecticut does not Title vehicles this old. It comes with a bill of sale and copy of current registration. The other States know this and it is a non issue. To answer a few questions. The rag top is electric, t works and has the boot. It did have factory AC, ut the unit was bad, new one is included along with 25+ years of extra parts that will fit in the trunk. It's top speed is way too fast for it's own good, bbl. carb & dual exhaust. Tranny was redone in the mid 90's. The motor was done in 2012 and has just under 500 miles on it. When a Title Is Not Needed

A vehicle owned by the United States, nless it is registered in this state.

A vehicle owned by a manufacturer or dealer and held for sale, even though incidentally moved on the highway or used for purposes of testing or demonstration; or a vehicle used by a manufacturer solely for testing.

A vehicle owned by a nonresident of this state and not required by law to be registered in this state.

A vehicle regularly engaged in the interstate transportation of persons or property for which a currently effective certificate of title has been issued in another state.

A vehicle moved solely by animal power.

An implement of husbandry.

Special mobile equipment.

A self-propelled wheel chair or invalid tricycle.

Any trailer having a gross weight not in excess of 3,000 lbs.

Any vehicle for which a temporary registration has been issued pursuant to Connectict State Law Title 14 Sec.14-12 for the purpose of permitting a non-resident owner who purchases a vehicle in Connecticut to transport such vehicle to such owner’s home state.

Amotor vehicle owned by the state or any town, ity or borough within the state.

A motor vehicle registered temporarily for inspection purposes pursuant to Connecticut State Law Title 14 Sec.14-12.

A snowmobile or ATV
