1973 TRIUMPH GT6

RE- LISTING .THE WINNING BID THE LAST TIME I WAS TOLD BY THE WINNER. WAS MADE FROM HIS 15 YEAR OLD SON.KINDA WIERD BECAUSE HE PLACED A FEW BIDS DURING THE WEEK OF THE AUCTION AND WAS OUTBID A FEW TIMES. THE FINAL BID WAS ON THE LAST DAY WHEN HE HIT THE RESERVE.FATHER SAID HE DIDNT KNOW .SO HERE WE GO AGAIN. Hello, e have up for your consideration our sons very sharp and great running 1973 Triumph GT 6.This was his first car he bought when he was 17 and he loves this car as we do .This is such a great car we where hoping he would hold on tothis one. He is newly engaged and him and his fiancee have bothgraduated from college and are buying there first home.So the GT6 has to go for now.We helped himpurchase this in 2008 when he was in high school and dating his now fiancee.They both now just finished college and have there jobs they went to school for .There next step is to get out of renting and purchase a home which they are in the process of doing .All money from the GT6 will go towards there new home.Its a bitter sweet end toowning and enjoying this car .While he has been away at college for the last 4 and 1/2 years, have taken the GT out a dozen times to keep in great runningcondition .Whenever he came home in the summer breaks he drove the GT as well. The car runs great and always gets many looks and comments (many more then i got with my triumph tr250 lol).Webought this car in 2008 and by 2009 loved this car so much we had the whole carprofessionallyrepainted in the corvette white from that year .Alsoadded a set of NOS factory GT6Stripes .There are a few more stripes that can be added that will be included but my son did not want to add the entire packag, thought less was better .They are all there if you want to add the hood and rear hatch stripes along with the fender feather stripes.We also added new rims and tires with triumph center caps from england.The original tires and rims are also included .My soninstalled a updated cd player and a wonderful set of speakers.The carpet in this car is all brand newandy made just for the GT6 model.Seats are in nice condition over all .The passenger seat is grea, the divers seat has a seem that let loose and has a tea, the seem we where able to seal but he tear is still present.The dash wood looks great and all the lights andinstrumentgauges work as they should .Heater blower dome light etc all work as well.This is my sons car and my wife wanted to make sure all was safe for himto drive even though it was a older car.The paint job still looks excellent .The only trouble spots i have noticed is the twofront corners. I'm told this is a trouble area on these gt 6 and spitfire models. So i have included a few pictures of that area and the replacement parts in case you want to replace those or just touch up the ones that are there.This is a very sharp and unique version ofthere GT6 .This GT6 as you can see has a Targa design toplike the porche.This was like this when we bought her.the lastowner alsosaid it was always like this too.We are not sure if this was done as a promotional car or a after market option from the 70s but its a great job for sure.Top pops off easily and stores perfectly in the cargo area.The top when installed seals up nice and tight so where ever or who everinstalled it was aprofessional .This makes this car wonderful to drive andcertinaly stands out.As a bonusfeature its much easier to get in and out for sure.I am 5 ft 9 and have plenty of leg room and there is moreadjustment to go back further .Ok i can go on and on but the last think i need to mentio, again since this was my sons car he drove to high school and work we wanted it to be safe and reliable. So in 2010 we had the engine rebuilt at cost of 3500.00.
