Description

Up for auction is a 1985 Toyota Celica-Supra in awesome condition. I am the third owner, aving purchased the car in early July of 1996 with 57,011 miles on it. Both previous owners kept the car in Wisconsin and I was told it had never seen a winter upon my purchase of it. During my ownership I know it never saw a winter; personally storing it on blocks, ith a trickle charger, n a nice garage. From 1992 until 2002 I was a Professional Toyota Technician at a couple different local dealerships, chieving Master Diagnostic Tech status for the last few years. Over the years I have replaced worn, r worn out parts as needed. These include (in order) the starter; all 4 shocks; cap, otor, amp; wires; Timing belt & drive belts; distributor O-ring; all seals on the front of engine;rear exhaust section; leather shift knob; blower motor; clutch master cylinder; power steering rack;engine valve seals, am tower gaskets, am seals, amp; VCGs; both body weatherstrips that seal the top of the door glass to the body; bothblack anti-ding strips on doors; both hood struts; and recently the water pump. This car does not leak or burn anything (except R12) from anywhere.

During this time a major 30,000 mile service was performed at 58,410 miles and again at 89,565 miles. These services included changing engine oil and filter; transmission and differential fluids; air & fuel filters; front wheel bearing repack; 4 wheel brake cleaning and adjustment; replacing the thermostat and flushing the entire cooling system. The brake and clutch fluids were totally flushed soon after purchase. The tires were balanced about once a year. The engine oil and filter was changed every 3000 miles or once a year, hich ever came first.

Moderate changes to the car include a Pacesetter header;a Kenwood CD player and subwoofer; Rockford-Fossgate speakersbehind the factory grilles;adjusting each camshaft about 3 degrees for more power; and 0.50" spring spacers above the rear coils to lift it a bit. I have the OEM exhaust manifold, ront pipe, and radio and they will go with the car to the buyer. I believe the tape player on the OEM radio is inop. Also included is a custom made fitted cloth car cover, black front end mask, nd a trickle charger.

Body repair has been minimal. No crashes or evidence of themto my knowledge. A deep scratch in the center of the spoiler was repaired; minor dings in the right door; in the areabehind that door; and in the top of the RF fenderwere pushed out with no evidence remaining; and most noteworthy, he car was partially repainted in 2000 due to a pealing clearcoat problem. No one could figure out where the clear coat came from or why.

I rarely took it through automated car washes and waxed it by hand with old fashioned Turtle Wax every falljust before winter storage. The car was never parked outside for long periods of time. The interior was never smoked in, lmost never saw food or drink, nd was Scotch Guarded about once a year.

The A/C system is all there and I performed an Evac & Recharge in early June of 2015, ut it only cooled down to 50 degrees for a couple days and the refrigerant leaked out. It has not been converted to R134A so options are still open as to how to proceed with repair. I suspect the compressor is just worn out. I added dye some years ago and never could find any leaks with a U/V blacklight.

The engine idles a bit rough but revs smooth and strong due to cam timing and headers; both of which can be restored to OEM specs. Trans shifts beautifully as I shift slowly to preserve synchros, nd it drives like new down the road. Great car for 2 people to take on a long road trip.
