Description

I bought this car from the second owner. Was owned by the original buyer until 2008. Have the entire history of the car. Has only 34k miles. Was kept in a storage facility for most it's life. Car is all original and in amazing shape. The interior is all original and in great shape. No rips or tears in the seat which are original cloth. Everything works on this car. Even the radio sounds great. Car has the original 288 strait eight with thunderbolt head. Engine has been gone through. all fluids changed and freshened up. Car runs and drives great and is alot of fun to cruise around in. There is no rust on this car. No body damage or problems. Only issue is a bit of pitting and discoloration in the chrome of the bumpers due to it long storage. This car gets a lot of attention and is in absolutely beautiful condition. Nothing has been changed or altered on this clipper. This is exactly how it came of the line in '53. Contact me with any questions. Good luck. The man kept it in Illinois it whole life and drove it during the summer time. He put 31k miles on the car in 60 years. When he was older and lost his drivers license. he would sneak out at night and drive the car. so his kids had to take the car away. His son kept the car for a few years but did not have much interest in it. In may of 2014 he brought the car to a car show on Charlotte motor speedway where I found it a bought it. I went through the enigine. new gaskets and seals. flushed out the tanks. cleaned the carb. repainted the engine and engine bay with Bill Hirsch packard grey paint which is period correct. Cleaned everything up but did not change anything from its original condition. Seats and interior is flawless. No rips. tears or wear
