1955 Austin Healey 100

Up for bids is this 1955 Austin Healey 100. It is an older restoration and is a runner driver. Runs very well. I did transmission work on it myself as it came to the previous owner with some broken gears. I was told by the previous owner that the motor was rebuilt by a local company just before it started to give transmission trouble. The soft top has several holes, nd the bright workshows its age. There is a dent in theleft hand head light bezel. Some scratches in the paint, everal rust spots on the frame. Side windows are old and drivers side has a crack. Tires are old but look in good shape with plenty of tread. Engine does not smoke and the over drive works. This is the early overdriveversion with two relays under the dash. All the mechanicals are in order. Interior is decent.Enough of my blabber, ook at the photos and see what you think. If you would like to see it in person, et me know and I will make arrangements. Just to clarify about the bright work. The Front and rear bumpers are in verynice condition. I believe that have been re-plated. The Aluminum trim around the driver and passenger compartment has scratches and is dull. Some of the pot metal chrome was redone, ut shows some minorpitting that was chromed over.The Grill looks to be original plating and shows it's age same as the windshield frame. The knock off hubcaps have been re-chromed.But under the chromeyoucan see the hammer marks.There is no 400 point show chrome on the car. If you are looking for a 400 point show car, his is not the car for you. If you are looking for a car that is going to be fun to drive andvery serviceable, believe this is it. Thanks for Looking.
