1967 International Harvester Scout 800A

Sydney is a great friend to have. He's reliable, ell looked after, nd tons of fun. Sydney is a 1967 International Scout 800A. We have all the original documentation of the work done to him over his life, ncluding everything we've done to sharpen him up over the past 5 years since we've owned him. He was bought in Colorado in 1971, ut was driven to NY and from what we can gather, at in a garage for 25 years. Very little rust on the chassis, nd since we was covered in rhino liner, ny body rust has been sanded out, e-welded and painted over. He has a 4 cyl, 52 ci slant 4 engine (original). Transmission is original and in great working order, hough top speed with current transmission is 50mph. It would be very easy to drop a different transmission into the truck and drive at highway speeds without concern. Syd also has a removable hard top that is certainly in working order, ut does need a new paint job and a little love, hough a new hard top is probably cheaper. (www.scoutparts.com) has been very helpful finding new materials for building. The driver side windshield wipers are in perfect working order, ut the passenger side isn't working. Syd runs 4 forward gears and 1 reverse gear. As was true with most trucks from this era, he first gear is geared very low, reat for towing, nd off-roading! Syd has a slight lift, nly 3" but that's enough.
We're asking $20,000 for him, nd hope he can find a good home.

We have a clean title for the truck, t's fully insured and registered in the state of Nevada. We change the oil every 1500 miles just to be safe. We have documentation for the work done to Sydney from the late 1990's and on the Factory Service Manual are notes dating back to 1978.
We also have an original Driver side seat that can be included in the price of the truck. When we replaced all the seats, e wanted comfort, o we opted for old Jeep CJ styled seats. The front seats are brand new, nd the back seat bench folds down.
