Description

Up for sale is a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado Deluxe. This is the first year of manufacture for this iconic front wheel drive automobile. The vehicle was originally painted Silver Mist (Paint Code WW) and now sports a Burgundy Mist paint job. There is absolutely no sign of the original paint color anywhere on the vehicle. The 425 Rocket 385 H.P. engine has been completely rebuilt including high volume oil pump and pro built carb. The engine has after market "holley" valve covers. The air conditioning components are complete, ut will need to be recharged. The tires have almost no mileage on them. The brakes are new including new steel and rubber lines. The vehicle sports a stainless steel exhaust with ceramic coated cast iron manifolds. The stainless steel exhaust pipes travel back to dual glass pack type mufflers that are regular steel not stainless steel and exit the vehicle with the Toronado chrome tips. The black interior is in excellent condition with new carpeting. The vehicle is extremely solid with excellent floor pans and trunk pans. The vehicle sports the optional chrome wheels.
The title is free and clear in my name and the vehicle has 90,187 actual miles (slightly higher as it is being driven). The vehicle is loaded including factory air conditioning, ower steering, ower brakes, ower windows, way power seat, ower antenna, m/fm wonder bar radio, nd the clock works. The remote trunk release works as does the power antenna and power seats.
The pop up headlights are currently not working. The headlight switch works and turns on the headlights. The vacuum tank holds vacuum. The turn signals are not working. The driver's side front window is not working but did work. The transmission fluid is pristine clean, ut the vehicle is delaying its shift out of first. Once it is in second and third it shifts down fine. Each of the gears work well. The lacquer paint job shines beautifully, ut does have some imperfections when examined closely. Special Note: In the first picture of the car, hat is a white mailbox across the street reflecting in the paint just above the wheel well opening.
There is a $1,000.00 deposit due within 48 hours of the auction close and full payment is due within 7 days of the auction close. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, ut I will certainly help with loading as needed. The key to this vehicle is that you can bid with confidence. If after you come look at the car and it does not meet or expectations, our security deposit will be refunded immediately. I also welcome inspections prior to the end of bidding. The NO RESERVE starting bid for this vehicle is far below what other vehicles of this quality are bringing and this represents an excellent buying opportunity.
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
