Description

We were selling a 64 Ford Galaxy and the buyer asked if we would take his El Camino as partial payment. We are not car dealers, ut the El Camino looked cool and seemed to run good, o we decided to do it. We have had it for a couple years and had a lot of fun with it. But now it is time to sell it and put the money into another project. This car was put together by a custom shop down in southern MN, e did not get a lot of specifics on the car from the owner. We just kind of made the deal off the looks of the car and the little information we got. So don't be afraid to ask questions. I want to be as straight up as possible and not waist anyone’s time at all, ot to mention keep my good rating with eBay.

More about the car,

Suspension:
The front end was pretty loose when we got it, owe completely went through it from bushings, all joints, ie rod ends and brakes. Basically if it needed attention, e had it fixed.

Engine:
The engine is a 383 Stroker ZZ4 Crate motor, iguring around a 1998 block from the numbers on it. We found this out because it wasn't running like it was supposed to and it was leaking oil. So More $$ as the story goes. We had the engine pulled, ore done. Once inside, e could see there are little to no miles on this engine. So we cleaned everything up, ut a set of quality gasket on it and tossed the stamped cheap valve covers and replaced them with some nice aluminum ones. The running issue was basically the carb, o we tossed that too and installed a New Edelbrock. We set the timing correctly and now it purse a kitten at idle and roars like lion when you put your foot into it. Now this car sounds awesome, oesn't leak anymore and drives like it was meant to. We are not much for fast cars, ut this machine rocks and roll if you know what I mean. It also has an aftermarket B&M floor shifter in it too.

It has American Racing Rims on it with 235/65R/16 tires in the rear (70% tread). The fronts tires are 225/50R/16 (60% tread)

Body:
As you can see, t has a very nice finish on it with a Cowl Hood. On the bottom of the doors I can see there is a little filler in the rear most corners, ot sure why and will probably will never be an issue as far as rust as the car is very clean. I think they were just smoothing out the corners and covering the seem-sealer. But it’s not factory, o I thought I would be up front. I am an old bodyman, o I am pretty picky but I will say the car looks awesome with its two tone base - clear finish. I did notice when it was on the hoist that a little detail work could have been done better on the very bottom but nothing you see unless you standing under it looking for it. I would have to say whoever painted did a darn good job over all.I did get underside photos and didn't see anything that was alarming to me. As you can see, t is very clean. Not the usual rusty vehicles you see.

There are 4 stickers on the outside of the car I wanted to take off but decided not to. On top of both doors forward section there is a "Harley Davidson" sticker. On the bottom of both fenders there is a "One Nation Under God" sticker, his I believe is covering a mounting hole for the bottom ground effects. I'm not sure, ut decided to just leave it alone.

Interior:
It has a really nice interior. Check the photos and you will see that the seats, ash and door panels are really nice. Full instrumentation with custom gauges and a B&M floor shifter.

Couple items to disclose:
Speedometer is about 18mph off. I believe this is due to the custom gauges and just needs to be calibrated, ut that is one thing I haven’t looked into yet. Odometer shows 126 miles - We were told this is Actual miles since restoration. We do not know what the total miles on the body is. Engine was a New GM Crate Engine. Estimated to be less than 1,000 miles since install. This is based on a physical inspection of the engine - See Engine description above.

The rear differential has a small spot of wetness, othing that is hitting the ground, o I don't think it is anything to worry about. If it was, e would have fixed it. Again, am pretty picky, o want to disclose all I am aware of.

This truck did have AC from the factory, ut there is no compressor installed now. So capable or AC, ut not currently functional.

All funds must clear my bank before the vehicle is picked up. You'll find me easy to work with and I will help you make this a smooth easy transaction. Thanks for looking, ike I said please ask any questions and I will answer the best I can. Happy Bidding Folks. It's a really nice ride with lots of good work in it. You will enjoy this truck!!!
