2001 Ford Focus 4 cylinder great on gas. Inspection and emissions expired

It runs but it has mechanical problems. we took it to a shop and they said it either needs a Ecu or a transmission. The check engine light is on. Timing belt has about 30,000 miles on it along with the water pump, hermostat. All four rotors and brake pads are about 2 years
NEW ALTERNATOR, NGINE replaced Parts. Many parts replaced. I paid a lot for it. We didn't have the time to fix it. We bought a new car.
Report shows some accidents. It's not the car accident. we were driving on the highway at nigh time.On the road there was a big rock. Pan in trasmission cracked. And the oil spilled out. We only changed the pan. That's what the report said. Because we called the insurance company.
