Description

Please don't bid unless you have financing in order please. 1972 Chevrolet C/10 custom deluxe pick up truck. This truck has been in the family since new. My grandfather owned it from new then it went to my mother then to me. I'm 45 and single so I have decided to sell it as I have no one to pass it on to. If it sells then it sells if not I will just keep it. If you want a unmolested truck this is it. It has been well taken care of. The paint was freshened up about ten years ago but still looks fantastic. There is no bondo on this truck. It has never been in an accident. It's super clean underneath as well. I put the billet grille on it. Had the bed rhino lined. Also installed dual exhaust that's it. And oh aftermarket stereo. There is about a 2 inch long about crack in the paint. As shown in photo. Truck fires right up. Drives excellent. The interior is near perfect for an old truck. The dash is perfect and there are only a couple places on the seat that has a couple places where fabric has started to seperate.

I have had many requests for more pictures. I will get them up Friday. If ebay will let me add more after item is listed. If not shoot me a email and I can send them directly to you. I have to drive over to the farm and get it, t's always inside over there in the shop. Also have had lots of questions about the engine. The original motor runs fantastic. I have videos of it. The reason I swapped it with a new crate engine is I wanted modern reliability, urability, erviceability, nd especially gas mileage. This motor gets twice as much if not more miles per gallon as the original. I can get over 20 miles a gallon on highway and around 15 in the city. You can just hop in turn the key and go. I also have both sets of the original keys. They work the ignition and door locks work fine as well. Also have original owners manual, missions manual. The registration renewal forms for every year or other year. washington and oregon are different and that's about the only places the truck has been. The previous bidder couldn't get financing so please secure in advance. I decided I would just keep it so I had the new motor installed. But I thought I'll post it one more time see what it does if it doesn't meet as least the reserve which is fairly low I'll probably just keep it. I fight with myself about it everyday. So if you want a nice clean unmolested truck with no bondo or anything I would get it. It's never even been in a fender bender or anything. Motor has about 500 miles on it. That's it. The original sticker in the glovebox is in great shape and has all the options on it. Posi trak rear end heavy duty springs etc. The only thing I know I have but can't guarantee I can find it right away but I know I have is the original buildsheet and the original title that granpa had. Mom told dmv the original was lost so we could keep it. I added a picture of the engine info and specifications and picture of repair receipt. Hopefully that clears up and covers most of the questions I've had. And the tires are about 60 percent have receipts for those to. Also have receipts for wheel bearings I believe and all the parts that were serviced or replaced so you won't have to worry about suspension either. Thanks for looking and good biddding!!!

I have received many messages and questions on truck. Thank you for all your interest. It really got me thinking there were a lot of questions about rust and I don't drive the truck a lot so i don't look at every single thing but I know if someone on ebay sells me a car that has been in the family it's whole life then when i get it i don't expect any surprises they have had the damn thing the whole time. I want someone to have the truck they expect. So with that said and this may cost me a sale but that's fine. I would rather know exactly what i will need to make the vehicle the way I want. I know we all have taken care of that truck. My grandfather would make us wash the truck before we did anything else on the ranch including feeding the animals. If he took it to town we had to wash it again when he got back. Before I had the paint freshened up 12 years ago the truck appraised at $17k. I have spent the last two days talking to my older brother and tracked down the painter even. With almost 4,000 views already and countless emails and messages it's clear people want to see every inch. So here it is. Im working on link now to put up more pictures. I took the truck in and had the old undercoating removed to examine everything and took pictures. Took the front clip off and took pictures so everything behind beside etc. could be seen and nothing would be hidden. To see any imperfection in the truck you actually would have to be one inch in front of a spot and looking for it. The damn truck is beautiful and the paint and color are amazing. The first thing we looked for was any kind of rust that was thru the panel. Deeper than non surface. The bed is amazing on top and the bottom. i looked at drip rails, owl, oors, ick panels, ab supports, loor pans, tc. I'll post the pictures amazing they have no issues. There is some surface rust starting to form on lower part of some of the panels that you cant even see unless you get on ground and look but i took pictures of that to. Then I took off front clip. If your standing in front of vehicle the right side is great. However on the left side there is a place where a piece of the panel would need to be replaced. It's the front third of the front wheel well if that's possible i,m no body guy so i don't know if you replace the whole fender well or just add to it. My painter was already gone. And the very front corner of the fender has some on that side. i got detailed pictures of all that to. I know what happened it's basically the area below the battery. We didn't drive it as much so i would tell the wife to put the battery charger on it. When I got back from out of town I wanted to drive it. Should have given or paid better attention because the acid boiled out and caused it. I also installed new radiator and battery while I had it out. The truck body is as solid as it would be if someone did a frame off restoration. It would be a waste it doesn't need it. Just needs to have that one issue addressed and the rest is a few surface spots. There are no surprises under the paint. There were no previous issues when I had it freshened up before I just wanted a deeper richer metallic green and it turned out great. I paid almost three grand and that was 12 years ago and the paint still looks new. I decided the seats you see in the pictures under the cover aren't up to standards that i want so bid knowing they will be redone with same color and pattern it goes in tomorrow and then it will be as close to original unmolested truck I think you will find. I hope that clears up all the questions for everyone. I also was asked if it had a/c the answer is no never did. The controls under the steering wheel are for the flashers. The engine was rebuilt when I did the paint in Spokane I took pictures of the rebuild shop along with the plaque and serial number. Great shop still in business. I didn't do anything fancy I just wanted a little more horsepower and torque. If I remember they did the cams and a couple other things. It brought the power up between 295 and 300 can't remember what the torque ended up being. The only other little item the new owner will need to address if they want it perfect is the little wing window on passenger side doesn't have lock handle of whatever that thing is called. That's it. All the bushings in the suspension are newer as well as the parts which are all serviceable. with grease fittings. The tires are real good I think I just scrubbed them to much and the white letters blended together. The exhaust system is aftermarket and sounds great. Looks new. Transmission is great. So in a nutshell the truck does is worth it. What you see and I have described is what you get no hidden surprises. I will be working on a link to get all the pictures posted. I hope this answers everyones questions and concerns. Good luck bidding and if you fly in I can pick you up at airport as well.
