1935 George Irat 6CV MDS Roadster....Rare prewar sports car!

1935 George Irat CV6 MDS Roadster; Rare pre-war french sports car. This is one ofapproximately 200examples producedand introduced at the Paris Salon. It is powered by a Godefroy and Levecque 4 cyl. 1.1 Liter or 1,100 cc Ruby motor. This is the DS Ruby motor which is the "Super Sport" version. About 37 hp,With a top speed of 120 km. per hour in 1935."Not bad for 37 hp".It is one of the very early front wheel drive cars and has 4 wheel independent suspension.The car weighs 1,455 lbs. Look closely and you will notice the car does not have a drivers door only a passenger's door. They came from the factory that way.The gearbox is mounted ahead of the engine and the driveshafts that power the front wheels and driven directly off the end of the gearbox. The shift mechanism is very similar to early Citroens. The car does have a full cockpit tonneau cover and it is black. This is a rare,sporty and fun car to drive. A similar car was shown at Pebble beach about 3 years ago with muchsuccess.
