This Ferrari 512 BB was purchased and shipped to the East Coast of the United States by Alitalia Air Freight on October 6, 980. It was then federalized by Classic Coach of Elizabeth, ew Jersey, hortly thereafter. On June 19, 987, he car was sold through Classic Coach to Massimo Ferragamo, hairman of Ferragamo USA and youngest son of Salvatore Ferragamo. Ferragamo kept the car for the following nine years. During the time it was owned by Ferragamo it was always maintained and serviced by Ferrari specialist Bill Pollard and received a major service by him in 2007. A highly original example, his 512 BB still boasts its original Nero interior and has only received one repaint in its original shade of Rosso Corsa, hought to have been performed during Ferragamo's ownership.
