Description

You might think you're looking at an antique right off the assembly line in the Fall of 1934 because that is how I had it built....given a few choices of my own. Henry Ford might even have difficulty examining this automobile but this is a Street Rod with quite a few more modern aspects to add to its comfort and performance; but I do like the side curtains...they give the car that "34ish" look. As mentioned in the description, he mileage is 3500 miles with rack and pinion steering. It also sports 4 wheel power disc brakes for stopping power and of course the 700R4 transmission with overdrive coupled with a nine inch Ford rearend (3:73 gear ratio). The body is Downs with a Rootlieb louvered hood. It might not look it but she has a two inch chop under that hand made top. I looked long and hard for an artisan that took pride in his work and there are no folds or ripples in that fabric. He was just as critical with the interior which is "ultra leather"...it smells and looks like actual leather so I went with his recommendation. The paint is of course base coat clear coat with a fine pin stripe to match the wheels. Take a close look at the interior roof bows which are made out of oak along with the trunk...again, and made and this guy was so fussy he even considered the grain of the wood! The undercarriage is mostly powder coated along with the frame with a nice sound through the turbo mufflers...the frame is boxed for more stability. If you examine the pictures closely you will see that I spared no detail on the exterior since I was looking for an assembly line look. The Greyhound hood ornament is of course correct along with the headlights and taillight pods which even show the Ford insignia. And yes the wheels are powder coated to match the pin stripe. and I will let you enjoy the pictures so email me should you have any further questions and I hope I covered everything in my description.
