Description

In 1963 Eldorado Biarritz joined theCadillac Sixty Specialand theCadillac Series 75as the only Cadillac models withFleetwoodbodies and immediately acquired Fleetwood crests on its rear quartersand Fleetwood rocker panel moldings. The 1963 Eldorado was also the first Fleetwood bodied convertible since the Cadillac Series 75 stopped offering four- and two-door convertible body styles and production of theCadillac Series 90(V16) ceased in 1941.In overall terms the 1963 Cadillac was essentially the same as the previous year. Exterior changes imparted a bolder and longer look. Hoods and deck lids were redesigned. The front fenders projected 4.625inches further forward than in 1962 while the tailfins were trimmed down somewhat to provide a lower profile. Body side sculpturing was entirely eliminated. The slightly V-shaped radiator grille was taller and now incorporated outer extensions that swept below the flush-fender dual headlamps. Smaller circular front parking lamps were mounted in those extensions. The Eldorado also had a rectangular grid pattern rear decorative grille. A total of 143 options including bucket seats with wool, leather or nylon upholstery fabrics and wood veneer facings on dash, doors and seatbacks, set an all-time record for interior appointment choices. Standard equipment was the same as the previous year. The engine was entirely changed, though the displacement and output remained the same, 390cuin (6.4l) and 325hp (242kW).Source: Wikipedia
I am pairing down myextensive collection of classic automobiles and have decided to sell one of my crown jewels in my collection. When I purchased this vehicle it had 39,000 + miles on theodometerfrom an automobileaficionado who had the car in a long storage that was inunrestoredcondition.I cannotcertify thatthis car has originalmileage as I am not theoriginal owner, however due to the lack of wear on the brake petal and the lack of seat wear on theupholstery/carpet, it indicates thecurrent mileage may beoriginal.I restored this classic mechanicallyusing mostly NOS parts, replaced the top and finished the exterior in Cadillac Sienna Red which is a striking color combination thatdefinitely turns heads.I have the build sheet on this fineautomobile that indicates the vehicle was built on 3/13/1963 with the following options,AC,Cruise Control(extremely rare in those days)AM/FM radio and 6 way power seat and power vent windows etc. There wereonly 1825Cadillac Eldorado convertibles manufactured in 1963 and this one is probably one of the most rare as it was a special order vehicle.

I have no regrets on restoring this fine example of 1960's American Motoramacosmetically andmechanically whichrequiredmany hours of labor and expensive amounts of money and resulted inrestoring this fine automobile to thesplendorand luxury it deserved.

This meticulously restored vehicle is by no means a "TRAILER QUEEN" Although I have spent many thousands in its restoration it is still a 53 year old automobile and is not off the showroom floor!!.I have been to car shows and auctions nationwide and when observing a classic car it is a very subjective art.In my opinion this vehicle is an excellent driver quality vehicle! as it was my intention to restore this vehicle to be driven and enjoyed!I am a hobbyist for nearly 50 years and the reserve price is reflective of its quality.

Classic Cadillac'sare on the move these days, especially theEldorados. Thisis one of the nicest out there.Buy it now and enjoy the summer with the topdown!
I have a clear Florida title in hand that can be transferredimmediately after funds clear.
GOOD LUCK BIDDING!
