Description

For sale is an all original 1980 International Scout II. It looks a little rough in the pictures but let me assure you the truck is virtually rust free with all original paint. This truck was bought new here in California and used by the owner until he purchased a new car and parked the Scout 25 years ago. The only rust I encountered when cleaning this Scout was surface rust under the floor mats which I sanded and then coated with POR 15. If you know these trucks, you know they are infamous for rusting in the rear all around the wheel well area and in the lower quarter panels. They also rust at the bottom of the front fenders. This truck has none...zero...and has neverhad any. It also has the original black paint which although dull...is hiding nothing. This truck is also loaded with options including tilt, power steering, power disc brakes and air conditioning. It has bucket seats, a rear seatand a console which I removed to clean the interior (they are in good shape but will need recovering). It also has the 345 V8 with the 4 barrel. I have not yet attempted to start the truck but the motor does turn over easily. The prior owner assured me it ran well and that he had spent a considerable sum on the brakes and fuel system before he parked it. I will not have time to restore this truck but if you have been looking for a nice virtually rust free project Scout that will be worth quite a bit when done...then please come a check this Scout out. I want it to go to a good home. I will be selling it with a bill of sale. I can apply for a title here in California(it is actually pretty easy) and whatever the cost will be paid by the new owner (it really will not be too much). Please come out any time before the end of the auction to inspect the truck...it will be worth your time. I am open to an offer before the end of the auction and do reserve the right to end the auctions early. As the truck is used, it is sold without a warranty as is where is. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have...thanks for looking. 530-723-2145.
