Description

1975 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNER

NO RESERVE - SURVIVOR - V8 360 #'S MATCHING -B BODY

Thanks for checking out my 1975 Plymouth Road Runner, last year of the True B-Body Road Runners, denoted by the VIN,starting with RM21. Many folks don't even know these cars even exist, which makes them very hard to find these days, especially in this condition. Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine and Mopar Muscle Magazine bothdid a feature on them recently, these are pretty neat cars.As you already know these are very hard to find in this condition, I have seen a few projects on ebay recently, that needed lots of work, this car is a running driving very solid Bird, so please take a look at all the photos of it, there are shots inside, outside and underneath, we also shot a YouTube Video of it so you could get a closer look of running etc. This 1975 Plymouth Road Runner is a solid driver with anumbers-matching 360ci V8 and TorqueFlite automatic, VIN stamped on both Engine and Transmission. All VIN numbers are intact, fender tags, this is a real Road Runner not a Clone, VIN tells it all, RM first 2 digits in vin. TheRoad Runner was an option package for the Plymouth Fury coupe withjust over7000 werebuilt for1975 only. This examplewas purchasednew in southern Oregon, then acquired in the 1980s by a highway patrolman in Klamath Falls. Itwasusedas part ofthe DARE program therefromthe 1990suntil several years after his passing, then it was parkedinhis son’s garage from 2002until it was purchased by one of my friends a while back. The car satin a garage from 2002 when it was last registered for the road. I bought the car in a package deal, and was planning on selling the Road Runner, after I did a few nice things to it. Since acquiring the carfrom my friend, I have taken it to a few shows which has been fun, because I was the only guy with one, I have recommissioned it for the road witha carburetor rebuild, new fuel pump, flushed-out fueltank, and new fuel lines. Indicated mileage of94k isbelieved original, I believe it to be true with the condition, but I do not have documentation. Check out all the photos, and you will see its condition is detailed in over 125 photos below and Video. The sale includesa clean Oregon title. Give me a call if you want to talk about it more, would be glad to show it to anyone before you bid. I am located in Salem, Oregon, just 60 minutes south of Portland. Thanks, Jason 503-910-2085

The body on this Road Runner is in great shape, repainted in its factory yellow, but just a little brighter as you can see. For a Mopar this one is very clean, with very little rust. The only spots are a little bit of some rust in the lower front passenger side fender, down very low easy to repair. A couple little tiny bubbles at bottom of the rear quarter right behind the rear wheel corner, again very minor. The rockers undercarriage, frame are in amazing shape, no patches, no repairs very clean car. If you look inside the door jams under the doors, under the trunk lid, very clean. The trunk pan is original, and has some minor surface rust, but nothing major very solid. The paint is not show obviously, I would call it a nice respray on it when it was done back in the early 90's, but it does have a few flaws in it, not to the point that I would repaint it, but maybe down the road it might be nice, but over all it has a nice shine, and looks good. You notice more things, inside a shop with lights. When you look down the sides, there are small waves in the body, but to be expected by a nice driver. There are a few small chips and such that have been touched up, overall a pretty clean car for its age. You will notice on the drivers door there are a couple small dings, a motorcycle that used to sit next to it, well, lets just say it fell over in the previous owners garage, and left a few dings, you could probably have that repaired and spotted back in, and maybe fix the couple rust spots and spot those in, and call it good for now. The drivers quarter panel is a shade of as well, they had the quarter repainted and blended back in during the late 90's, from some keying the car, so they reshot the quarter. The bright work could use rechromed down the road it has wear etc. The rear bumper, has a rust hole in the bottom of it above the passenger muffler tip, down low. The plastic surround by the rear lic. plate area has a hole in it. Overall every thing is there, the bright work is decent, but it shows its age obvioulsy. Take a look at the photos, nice looking car.

This a factory LA series 360 engine, these came with 3 engine options, 318, 360 or 400, it is numbers matching, with numbers matching 727 Torqueflite transmission. The engine runs very good, it is all stock. It starts right up, does not blow smoke or burn oil, very good little daily driver. The valve cover gaskets have been recently changed as well. Overall very stock under the hood, the way you want to see one of these cars. Factory Carb was gone through recently, fuel system flushed along with fuel tank. It has Dual exhaust and the car sounds great. VIN is stamped on the engine above oil pan on passenger side, check out the photos below. The transmission shifts nice, nothing unusual, shifts like it should. The transmission has its VIN stamped on the passenger side of bell housing as well. No major oil leaks, nothing burning off etc, engine has normal seepage from age, but nothing that makes me concerned, I think the valve covers were leaking a little before so I had those changed. Also there was a small seal on the side of transmission, which we changed as well. The pan gasket on transmission looks to be okay. Every once in a while I have seen a small spot on the ground, could be from powersteering when it sits, not sure, again pretty minor, from a pretty original drivetrain. The brakes seem to work good, have not gone through brakes, they seem to work good on the car. The rearend is factory as well. Overall mechanically it seems to be in good repair, I am sure it will need general tinkering and such in the future like any vintage car, but overall compared to what I have seen lately for this year of Road Runner, this is in great shape for its age. It has Magnum 500 wheels with trim rings, with older Mastercraft Radial S/R, they have good tread but are older, they are good for now, but because of their age, you might want to change them out eventually.

The interior is in great condition for its age. Seats are in excellent condition, no rips or tears, not sure if they have been redone, but they do look in great shape. The dash pad is nice but there is 1 crack in it. The Mopar Tuff Steering wheel is in nice shape, I think that is the same one they use in the Cuda, very nice door panels, headliner in great shape. Original shag carpet is again in nice condition and original. The console is very nice. Overall the interior is in great shape for its age. The the gauges are working, but the factory tach can be a little sporadic. It does have factory AC, but it is not currently working, though everything is all hooked up so maybe with a little work it is possible down the road. The Heater core has just been replaced, sothe heater works great. Glass is in decent shape, no cracks or major chips, just normal road wear. The Beep Beep horn does work under the hood, if you put power to it, but will not work from the steering wheel, might be a connection further inspection. The radio works as well. The Passenger side windshield wiper is not working, not sure why but it does not move. Overall this is a great driver, something that you can enjoy and work on at the same time.

I have been selling classic cars here on eBay since 2003, 13 years now, with around 750 classic cars sold over the internet. What I love about these old cars, is that I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time, I have turned this passion into a business, but for me it is an awesome time to enjoy the cars themselves. It has been such a joy to do business with people all over the world. I have sold multiple cars to many buyers all over from Europe, Dubai, Australia, Japan, Brazil, just to name a few. It has always been a pleasure, getting to know other car enthusiast all over the Continent, especially some that have become very good friends of mine because of our love for cars. If you would like to call me and talk about the car, that would be great, would love to help you out, if you want to call and talk about cars, it would be my pleasure, I am on the hunt for any Interesting classics, odd ball and unique vehicles. Please, come out and personally take a look at it in person, or send a friend or inspector, or transporter, always better if possible to see it with your own eyes, I am close to major airport, and easy to get to. These are classic vehicles, with lots of history, almost years old, so they are used, not perfect, they don’t have warranties, or guarantees, they are as is, where is, nothing else is promised, I can’t possibly explain every little thing about a vehicle in writing, believe me I've tried, lol, seeing in person is always best, I try to give an good description, and normally over 75 photos at least, so you can get a good gauge of what it is, and isn’t.
