Description

For sale;

1969 Dodge Charger hemi Daytona Tribute built by Brian Bodensteiner.

Originally a 440ci R/T '69 charger, white exterior, black interior car.

This car was a perfect candidate to Convert into a Daytona clone.

It is built to an exceptional standard and meant to replicate a real Daytona in every possible detail.

Fitted with an original (yes original) metal nose cone and not a janek repro unit.

Chevy vega fastback rear window plug, aluminium rear wing, and all Daytona/charger 500 stainless trim pieces.

Two jacks (to overcome jacking problems with the nose cone), custom made trunk hinges from dayclona (for perfect opening clearances).

Rear wing braces for an exact replication.

Around the rear window it is welded and not filled using body filler to avoid "haloing".

The paint was applied to look like the factory finish, slightly thick and not blocked, just as it would've left the factory.

Fitted with a hemi from FHO in Canada and displacing 518 cubic inches, it develops 672hp and 640 torques. Neatly hidden behind the front wing is an MSD Ignition box with the rev limiter set at 6800rpm.

It runs cool all day long thanks to a 3 inch max core brand new radiator.

The gases are sent out back via a 3 inch flow master stainless exhaust.

Behind the big hemi is a brand new center force clutch, and a fully rebuilt (using USA parts) date correct original hemi 18 spline A833 4 speed gearbox sends the hemi power to a '69 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears and a limited slip differential. The axle contains moser hardened shafts to cope with what the hemi serves up!

A prop loop was added as a safety measure.

Manual steering, manual 4 wheel drum brakes and heater delete.

Inside is a legendary interior that was shipped flat (in large boxes and not rolled) to avoid any wrinkles during installation and looks incredible.

The headliner fits like none we have ever seen on a Daytona tribute.

Rolling on 15inch steel rims with chrome hubcaps and repro f70-15 goodyear redline tyres really finishes off the look.

The build was very extensive, no corners cut, and the car drives like a brand new vehicle.

Fully rotisserie restored.

It starts first time, every time, and idles like no other hemi we have ever dealt with.
