Description

SELLING AT NO RESERVE
1991 Camaro Z28. I bought the car back in March as a small project. However, I also have a newborn and my wife and I are looking at an out-of-state move in the next few months so I just don't have time for it.
It runs and drives great, but the car does need some TLC. I purchased on ebay back in March and WAS NOT accurately advertised to me when I bought it. I wouldn't want to do that to someone else, so I'll try to be very specific about the issues with this car.
The interior is all there but pretty rough. The dash is cracked, the material on the headliner has fallen off, the driver seat is torn and worn. The head unit for the stereo does not have a faceplate. The tachometer doesn't work and it looks like the speedometer is starting to go south too. The rest of the gauges appear to work fine (temp, oil, fuel, volts). The steering wheel leather is worn bad and it looks like someone tried to remove it at one point.
The exterior isn't bad, but it looks like it could use some alignment on the driver door, body panels, rockers, etc. There are a few small dents here and there but nothing significant. Its been resprayed at some point but I think it was a while back or done poorly (maybe a Maaco job). The fog lights aren't currently working. I haven't really looked too close to see what the issue is. The door lock keys weren't given to me by the previous owner but I have new lock cylinders with keys (not yet installed). The suspension feels loose, like maybe it could use new tie rod ends, but I don't know for sure.
On the plus side, the 5.0 TPI appears to have had a top-end rebuild recently. I found Fel-Pro intake and head gasket boxes when I was cleaning it out and the look recently replaced. I also found all 8 of the original injectors. When I took it for CA SMOG it passed with flying colors. I've never had any hard starts and it runs and shifts pretty smooth. I did have to replace the hood latch and the rear hatch shocks as well as the battery.
It's not a bad car and wouldn't take much to make it a comfortable driver or just use it as a platform for a full on hot rod / track car build. Any questions, please let me know. I've got a low reserve on it and I expect to take a loss on what I paid for it - but above all I want to be honest about the car. I've bought and sold several cars on eBay and this was the first time I felt like the seller kind of lied about its condition.
