Need to add another car hauler to your fleet? Looking for a truck to transport your track or show car? MotoeXotica Classic Cars offers a 1999 Ford F-350 Super Cab Lariat Super Duty car hauler. It has been a great hauler for us but now it’s time to move on as we have three additional haulers!

We have owned this two-wheel drive truck since May of 2005 and it’s faithfully taken staff members and cars to many car shows in and around the Midwest and Great Plains. We purchased this truck with 84,xxx miles and have put less than 5,000 miles per year on the rig.

Two-toned red and silver, the paint shows decently and while some of the exterior trim has clearcoat blemishes overall, it’s in good shape. The glass panes are in good shape with no cracks or hazing and the vehicle’s lights has intact lenses. All of the body panels are straight with no dents. Note that the company vinyl graphics are removable.

Under the hood is a 413 CID Ford Triton V-10 SOHC engine with SEFI, making 310 horsepower and 425 lbs-ft of torque mated to a four-speed (4R100) automatic transmission and a 3.73 final drive. The engine has a newer timing chain, head and valve cover gaskets, resurfaced valve heads and added steel spark plug sleeves. These motors had problematic heads, which we spent a small fortune to correct with steel sleeves. Receipts provided. Further, we have gone through the brakes and suspension, adding new rotors and new rear springs. Driver assist features include air-conditioning, power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock, power windows, power locks, power mirrors and power front bench seat. Truck features Twin I-Beam front suspension and a 38-gallon fuel tank.

Behind the cab is about a 20-foot long wedge-type ramp with lights, slide-out ramps, a working winch and storage for tools and gear.

The top-of-the-line Lariat was the most luxurious trim level of the F-Series Super Duty. It added the following features to the mid-range XLT trim level: an AM/FM stereo with both a cassette player and a single-disc CD player (later, a six-disc, in-dash CD changer), leather-trimmed seating surfaces, chrome-clad (later aluminum) wheels and center wheel hubs, keyless entry, a security system, dual front airbags, electronic climate controls, a power front bench seat with fold-down center armrest, wood interior trim panels, and a chrome front grille with chrome inserts.

Inside, this truck has a medium prairie tan interior with room for five to six passengers. The seats are still in their original shape but the leather surfaces show the use this truck has had since we bought it but the center console looks great. The matching carpet is in decent condition and the headliner is in good shape. The dashboard is crack-free and in good shape, as are the door panels, steering wheel, gear selector and mirrors. In the dash is the factory AM/FM stereo with CD player.

The Ford Super Duty is a line of trucks, with more than 8,500 lb GVWR, launched by Ford in early 1998 for the 1999 model year. The F-250 to F-550 Super Duties are assembled at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Super Duty is a larger, heavier built series of pickup trucks with heavier-duty body-on-frame steel ladder frames, axles, springs, brakes, transmissions, more powerful engines and all other heavier/bigger components (with much higher payload and towing capacities) than the older traditional equivalent F-250, F-250HD (Heavy Duty) and F-350 Ford truck lines (where from 1987 to 1997 the F-250, F250HD, F-350 and F-Super Duty were all chassis cab models only).

For 1999, Ford shifted the F-250 and F-350 truck lines to a design mechanically and cosmetically distinct from that of the F-150. The F-350 was not available for 1998, while a lighter-duty version of the F-250 was available that year with the F-150’s body. By using two separate but related platforms for F-Series trucks, the inevitable compromises inherent in offering a wide range of load-carrying capacities were avoided.

For the first time, larger trucks utilized a design distinct from the smaller F-150 half-ton pickups. Although considered part of the F-Series, the Super Duty trucks shared no common body components aside from their taillights and tailgate; under the skin, only the 5.4L V8 was shared. The front was more boldly angular with a raised hood, similar to the Dodge Ram. As an industry first, two large complete ring-style front tow hooks were included. The side windows dropped lower forward in the door like a commercial medium- to heavy-duty truck (similar to a Kenworth “Daylight Door”), the grille was narrower and taller as if from a larger truck and optional manual-telescoping trailer tow mirrors were available.

There were three cab options: Regular Cab (two to three passengers) with two doors, Super Cab (five to six passengers), which included two small “suicide” doors at the rear and the Crew Cab (five to six passengers) with four full doors. The Super and Crew cabs came with six-and-three-quarter-foot and eight-foot full-size bed options but the regular cab was only available with the eight-foot bed.

Competition to this truck in 1999 included the Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD, the Dodge Ram 3500 and the GMC Sierra 3500 HD.

This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 137,705 actual miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND HAUL!!!
