Description

This 2002 Chevrolet Camaro 35th Anniversary edition is for sale in our Houston TX showroom. The Chevrolet Camaro has been GM’s performance go to car ever since the muscle car craze came to an end in the early 70’s. It looked as if this might happen again when GM announced that the Camaro, after 35 years of production, would come to halt at the end of 2002. It appeared that the younger market were more into the Japanese tuner scene than good ole brute force. The 02 model, when equipped with the Z28 package, was already a potent machine with the now infamous LS1 all aluminum engine. The 35th anniversary models would be sent Street Legal Performance to give them some polishing touches. Limited to only 3000 units this Black beauty is a rather car and with just a tic over 21000 miles you can drive it daily or keep the miles off and watch as the value continues to climb thanks to those SLP touches. First and probably the most noticeable upgrade is the graphics which come across the hood and onto the rear deck lid letting people know that this is not just a Z28. The rear spoiler with the struts coming up in the middle are also a nice touch but my personal favorite has got to be the rear exit exhaust. This is not only aesthetically pleasing but the sound is a much needed upgrade from the stock Z28. Under the hood the LS1 was doing just fine so a simple sealed SLP air lid combined with the exhaust gave the SS, SLP, 35th Anniversary whatever you want to call it, an additional 15 ponies. Yet still the crowning jewel of these cars was the transmission, still one of the best in the industry the T56 6 speed is no other word for it, AMAZING. The ability to burn through first and into second gear yet still get on the highway and only turn 2000 RPM at 75 MPH what more could you want. These cars have seen a recent spike in popularity and for good reason. Most of them were either wrecked or the motor pulled out to put in anything except a Camaro so finding one this nice is next to impossible. Options on this 2002 35th Anniversary Chevrolet Camaro include AC, AM/FM/CD, Leather Interior, Power Windows, Power Locks, Tilt, Cruise, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, T Tops, Keyless Entry, and Custom Wheels Wrapped in Radial Tires.
