Description

A Classic, unique, "Hard Working" 1954 International Harvester R-112 pick-up truck is up for sale. My father purchased this awesome truck brand new in 1954. It has been in the family ever since. I learned to drive on this truck when we were on the farm. I have always had a strong interest and liking to this truck. It is all original! The original engine, 6 Volt electrical system and now since it has been repainted, the original "Aztec Yellow". During the late 1980's we purchased another truck for parts and in it was an original radio which we installed in this one. The radio works great! I have replaced the original bias type tires with some good condition used radials. All of the wiring was replaced during the late 1980's. I have replaced 3 wheel cylinders for the brakes and replaced one brake drum. All of the glass is in great shape with no cracks. All of the lights, wipers, horn, signal lights, heater and radio work as they should. the new paint and restoration to the body was done in the early 1990's with the best quality of paint for a lasting finish. There is some minor rust spots and wear spots from the hood. The tailgate chains have been replaced to original type and function well. As you can see in the photos, this truck includes the choke and throttle which some other models did not include. This truck is a "Heavy Half" ton model with leaf springs on the front axle to handle heavier loads. This proved itself time and time again on the farm!! I hate to part with the truck but am finding that I do not have as much time to enjoy it and feel that it needs to be sold to someone who will take care of it. The price stated is $10,000 less than High retail which would mean that the truck would be in almost showroom condition. This truck is not that but is in very excellent condition for it's age. It would be hard to find another truck like this in this excellent original condition.
