Description

1910 ELMORE DemiTouneau fully restored as close to original as possible. It has the original Elmore carburetor. priming system and Atwater Kent ignition system. When I bought the car in 1971 it had the original upholstery so when it was restored the leather upholstery was copied exactly as the original. The new floormat even has the Elmore script in it. All Elmores had 2 cycle engines from the beginning in 1902 until the end of production in 1912. As such they had special shaped pistons. New ones custom made of aluminum rather than cast iron were made and installed in this car’s engine. Elmores started out as small one and two cylinder cars until around 1906 when they became much larger using three and four cylinder engines for the duration of manufacture. They are quite rare. I don’t know how many of the small ones still around but I know of only nine besides this one of the 1906 and later. To my knowledge this is the only remaining 1910 of this model. Car is fully striped as shown in a factory photo and advertising literature. Car has an electric starter installed in a manor that it can be removed without leaving signs it had such starter installed. All brass lights could operate but only side lamps and tail lamp have been lit. Acetylene generator does not have working parts inside it. Car has antique car clear title in Pennsylvania. Price does not include shipping. I had to show mileage but number I showed not correct. I have no idea of actual mileage.
