Description

You are looking at a 1967 Pymouth Belevdere II with 87. 25 miles. Originally equipped with a 225 cubic inch slant six engine. now has a 318 V8. Power steering. air conditioning. AM/FM radio. cloth interior. For more pictures. visit https://67plymouthbelvedere. shutterfly. com/ Engine: 318 cubic inch V8 professionally rebuilt by Kim Barr Racing Engines in Garland. TX in 2004. Bored . 030 over. zero decked. line honed. original crank and rods polished/resized . Keith Black hypereutectic pistons. moly rings. Cloyes roller timing chain. custom grind dual pattern (mild) cam. 915 cast iron heads. stainless valves with 3-angle valve job. hardened seats for unleaded fuel. high volume Melling oil pump. Dyno tested at 330 hp. versus 230 hp stock. Ignition: DUI electronic distributor. Live Wire plug wires. MSD coil. New Mopar battery in August 2014. Fuel/intake/exhaust: Barry Grant Speed Demon 650 cfm 4-bbl carburetor. Edelbrock Air Gap dual plane intake. K&N filter. TTI ceramic coated headers. Dyno Max mufflers. Cooling system: 22” 4 row radiator. Flow Kooler high flow water pump. 180 degree Robert Shaw balanced thermostat. Runs cool. even idling with the A/C on in 100F+ temperatures. Transmission: Factory A904 rebuilt in 2003 with Stage 2 TransGo shift kit. TCI Breakaway torque converter. Rear End: Rebuilt 3. 55 Sure-Grip (clutch type) 8. 75” differential in 742 case. Brakes: Manual front disc brakes. rear drum brakes. Suspension/steering: Original factory upper control arms with poly bushings. boxed lower control arms with rubber bushings. 0. 920” (440/hemi) torsion bars. shocks. Hemi rear leaf springs. Front and rear swaybars. All bushings replaced in 2004 with polyurethane. except lower control arms which were replaced with rubber bushings in 2006. Firm Feel Stage 1 steering (less power assist/better feel than factory steering box). The upper control arms are creaky when cold…if I were keeping the car. I would replace these with modern tubular control arms and new bushings. Wheels/tires: American Racing Equipment Torq-Thrust D wheels – 15x6 front. 15x7 rear. Brand new BF Goodrich Comp T/A tires- 215/70R15 front. 245/60R15 rear. The correct speedo gear was installed to ensure that the speedometer reads accurately. HVAC: This is a factory air-conditioned car. The majority of cars from this era were not equipped with a/c. so this car stands out. You will enjoy cruising in total comfort all summer long. rather than sweating all over the pristine interior! All of the components under the hood were replaced with new/modern equipment- compressor. condenser. filter/drier. high and low pressure lines. All components inside the car are original- HVAC controls. heater core. vacuum lines. etc. Heat and A/C work perfectly. No leaks. Ice cold air. The water valve was rebuilt several years ago when it developed a minor leak…no problems since. but a small stain remains on the carpet up under the dash where the coolant dripped onto the carpet. Interior: The beautiful blue cloth interior has been restored to like-new condition. The seats have been recovered with NOS cloth and new vinyl from Legendary Auto Interiors. The carpet has been replaced and Fat Mat sound deadener/heat shield installed on floor pans. The door panels. armrests and bases. and package tray are also new. The insides of the doors have been repainted. A lot of the interior is original. including the seat belts. headliner. sun visors. kick panels. steering wheel. and dash cap. which are all in perfect condition (which is very rare!). The steering wheel and horn ring is in fantastic condition…no cracks or gaps; by far the best I’ve ever seen on a Belvedere/Satellite/GTX of this vintage. The rear view mirror is also in excellent condition. The factory satin paint on the dashboard is perfect. The window regulators. door handles. and other interior chrome trim are all excellent. I added an OEM NOS clock (which came with a template to ensure it is in exactly the correct location). OEM chrome trim to the lower dashboard and gas/brake pedals. and a remote trunk release. The glove box door has been rechromed. and I swapped the factory AM radio for a correct OEM AM/FM radio (very rare!). A pair of 6x9 speakers have been installed hidden beneath the rear package tray. but are not hooked up. The radio plays through a refurbished OEM dashboard speaker and sounds great. All knobs (radio. lights. wiper. cigar lighter. fresh air vent) have the chrome inserts. Even the emergency flasher toggle and the HVAC temp control lever have the silver centers. which are almost always missing. The inside of the ashtray is virgin…I’m pretty certain that this car has never been smoked in. Overall. the interior of this car is as close to factory fresh as I believe you will ever find. Body/glass: All body panels. except the hood. are original. Glass is in excellent condition all around…no cracks or chips. Just a light scratch on the passenger side of the front windshield from a wiper blade – I believe this could be polished out. All windows roll up and down smoothly and easily. All glass is tinted. which is standard on factory air conditioned cars. The felt weatherstipping on the rear quarter windows is new. The bumpers have been rechromed. The headlight and taillight bezels and trunk tail panel are all in excellent condition. and are the best I’ve ever seen on a Belvedere/Satellite/GTX of this vintage. The tail panel also sports the original textured light argent paint in near perfect condition. New repro rocker panel moldings. door sills. taillight lenses. front fender badges. Body side molding is in excellent condition…these aluminum strips are very rare. and when you do find some. they are usually pretty beat up; these moldings are essentially unobtainable in this condition and are worth many hundreds. or even thousands. of dollars as a full set on their own. Wheel opening moldings and rain gutter trim are also all present and in excellent condition. I added the belt moldings (the chrome trim on the doors where the side glass goes down into the door) and a passenger side mirror. The C-pillar molding on the passenger side is pitted (repros are available); driver side is good. There is a very small area of surface rust at both bottom corners of the back glass. and at the bottom rear corner of the door opening on the drivers side. There is also a bit of rust in the front right quarter behind the front wheel well. and above and behind both rear wheels. I have replacement rear quarter panels that will go with the car. The trunk floor has some scaly rust as well. The undercarriage has only minor surface rust; basically rust free. There is a minor dent and scratches on the passenger side of the car just behind the door. All paint is original. except for the hood. which was repainted and is not a good match. Door hinge bushings have been replaced. Doors do not hang or sag; they open and close smoothly and quietly. Documentation: I have clear title and receipts for all of the work done to this car. I also have the original owners manual. shop manual. and more. Buyer will get two sets of NOS keys – one key operates both doors and ignition. the other opens the trunk and glovebox. EVERYTHING works as it should in this car…lights. horn. wipers. windshield washer. turn signals. emergency flasher. cigarette lighter. gauges. instrument panel lighting. warning lights (brakes. oil pressure. high beams). radio. clock. heater. air conditioning. park brake…everything. Car has a current inspection. Ready to be driven anywhere. It has a few minor leaks…a few drops of transmission fluid. oil and rear end grease appear on the garage floor every week. The leaks started when I changed all fluids to synthetic. Changing back to dino fluids might solve the problem. Frame is straight; car has never been in an accident. This car has always been garaged with a cover on it as long as I have owned it (12 years). and based on the condition of the car. I would say that it has been garaged all of its life. It has not been wet in over a decade. I only drive it on clear. dry days. If I want to wash it. I mist it with spray wax and dry it with a clean. dry microfiber towel. There are too many new. refurbished or reproduction parts to mention. This car has more rare and difficult to obtain original parts in near perfect condition than any other example I’ve seen. which makes it a standout in that regard. This is an easy project to take to the next level (replace a couple gaskets to stop the leaks and do the bodywork and paint). or would be an ideal platform to transform into a top-dollar Hemi Belvedere or GTX clone. I’ve spent WAY more money on this car than I’ll ever get out of it. so my loss is your gain. But I’ve sure enjoyed it. so I got my money’s worth in that regard. My priorities have changed. though. and I’m just not driving it or going to car shows anymore. so it’s time to move on. This car is “Fast and Loud” when you want it to be. but is otherwise civilized. The mild cam gives a slightly choppy performance idle which smoothes out under power. The hemi torsion bars and leaf springs along with the front and rear sway bars give this vehicle a performance-oriented suspension with a great stance. The ride is firm. but comfortable. This is a 47-year-old car. so it goes without saying that there is no warranty expressed or implied.
