Description

1966 Pontiac Bonneville Wagon You are looking at a VERY HARD TO FIND BLUE BONNEVILLE WAGON. If it were a Catalina. I would not be able to say “VERY HARD TO FIND” Bonneville Wagons were simply the best Pontiac offered and were not cheap… Please watch the youtube videos. I may not have them uploaded by the time the ad starts. but will ad a link in the description if not. The videos will show the car as it is. TODAY. https://youtu. be/CEvCBI4UzHshttps://youtu. be/IUC8Jau4TUk Title: 1966 Pontiac Bonneville Station Wagon For Sale in Boise I have taken a lot of pictures of the car and will upload more to photobucket Monday. this is all I can do now. long process As a seller. I will extoll all the virtues of the Bonneville. and not go on and on about all of its shortcomings… which are few. there I go already…. as a buyer. you can capitalize on kicking the car and as a seller I will do the opposite. so it will even out in the end. and if we make a deal. you will have won. because you will have the car. and I will only be able to say. “I USED TO OWN” Money we can get. another 66 Bonneville Wagon with good color and options is not as easy to come by… I am not interested in trading for anything. its money that I need. The car is here to sell. its not just for sale or a “testing the market” waste of time ebay posting… I have three videos. One video at night. one of the car driving. and long one of the car itself. Hope to get them all uploaded. I have not waxed the car. spayed vinyl shine on the seats and door panels. spray painted the carpet or anything else like this to cover it up. NOTHING AT ALL IN THE WAY OF COVERING UP ANYTHING. IF YOU REVIEW MY PAST AUCTIONS. YOU WILL SEE THAT I SELL THINGS. THE FIRST TIME. I ONLY RELIST WHEN I GET A PARASITE BIDDER. DAY DREAMER ETC. I DON’T HAVE FRINEDS BID MY CARS UP. THEY ARE HONEST SALES. If I agree on an offer. I like to get a 500 deposit on paypal before I end the auction or accept the offer. Relisting cars. seems to devalue them and suggesting to the public that its not an honest sale. I am not a dealer. didn’t buy this car to sell or make money on it. but have something far more important that requires money. so … THIS IS WHY ITS FOR SALE. I m not selling it because Im buying something else. or something is wrong with it… its about money. as most things are. The brakes stop the car nicely…no noises or pulling either direction. It does not tick. smoke. or knock. It runs very nice- excellent. No puddles of oil. or tranny fluid. gas or antifreeze etc. Motor trend car of the year in 65’ was the Pontiac Line. all of them. 66 was nearly the same car. minor body line changes etc. they had excellent engines. 389. Turbo 400 Transmissions. and super rearends. The body lines were knockout in these years. and this one is the KING. not the base model in a "so so" color. The glass is clear (tinted). and in super shape. The doors shut solid. This car is here to sell. and will… if you want it. or think you do. it’s a good idea to do what it takes to buy it. another Bonneville wagon being up for sale or “found” is an event that comes in years. not weeks. or months… I looked for A LONG TIME before this one came along. . and I DON’T KNOW WHERE THERE IS ANOTHER ONE. NOT EVEN A BEATER OR JUNK YARD WAGON… EVERY SINGLE TIME. WITHOUT EXCEPTION. I GET EMAILS SAYING: “IF IT DOESN’T GO THROUGH. PLEASE CONTACT ME” OR WHAT HAPPENED. I WAS GOING TO BID. ON AND ON… SO. IF YOU WANT THIS CAR. GET A HOLD OF ME. I SELL THINGS. DON’T JUST PUT THEM UP FOR SALE AND LIST THEM OVER AND OVER AND OVER . ALTHOUGH. WITH THIS CAR. I AM NOT IN A HUGE HURRY TO GIVE IT AWAY…IT CANNOT BE REPLACED. I will not talk on the phone . I have lost a lot of money accepting low offers in a rush deal. so for me. its better to make an offer in writing. if you want to talk to me or have specific questions. no problem. nbsp;but this is set as an auction so I wont volunteer "what I will take for it". if you make an offer. and its enough. I will end the auction with a 500 paypal deposit and end it. or. feel free to bid and compete. You may have been waiting and watching for years for a nice Bonneville Wagon to come along. This is “the one” you may have to pay for it. but the search is over. Feel free to have it inspected. It has taken a lot of time to take the pictures. and the videos and get them uploaded. so please enjoy them. but don’t bid or offer to buy the car if you don’t have the money etc. Thanks for looking at reading. feel free to ask questions or contact me to buy it. There is not a lot to talk about as far as “what s wrong with it” or “what will it need” etc. Some details I can think of: Glass has no cracks. no hazing. really clean. tinted. and in nice shape. Chrome and Stainless is shiny and very nice. clean and although not show quality or perfect. its as nice as I have ever seen for a driver car…. No pitting. no rust. no holes. no scrapes. especially in the lower rocker trim that is exclusive to the Bonneville… no road rash or rust or holes…. VERY NICE… Interior…. its about a 9 out 10. 1 being shot. 10 being perfect. The headliner. seats. door panels. dash and dash pad. carpet seatbelts. door rubber. dome and 3rd seat light. dash lights (all replaced). cd player. heater controls (taken out and redone-nice). wipers. light switch. blinker turn signals. gauges…clock. oil pressure. gas gauge. battery etc all are nice and work as they should. THAT'S A LOT OF POSITIVES IN ONE LONG SHOT. I know the seats. headlinger and likely the carpet were replaced at some point… not some “close to org” pattern. the correct factory org replacements… this is a big deal… it matters. The worst thing on the interior is the steering wheel. but they restore them now for about 400 bucks … I think that’s what it cost… but its not bad enough to make me pull it and have it done… There is a CD player in the glove box. It works. The org radio is not hooked up. and I don’t know if it works. am… not really a lot to choose from but Spanish. Sports. and Political Entertainment Radio. I have had 9 people in the car. 3 kids in the back 6 adults up front. Pretty cool… that is an attention getter and cool for the passengers. AC doesn’t blow cold. I think it needs an “stv”?? valve(about 30 bucks on ebay) … never looked into why it doesn’t blow cold. but its all hooked up. and not missing anything. Power steering steers super easy. Brakes have been upgraded to Disc Brakes in the Front with new rear drums. Stops nice. Newer Exhaust. Engine has new fuel pump. motor mounts. plugs. wires. and electronic distributor. rebuilt carb. new alternator …. New front seal in transmission when motor was put in… Transmission was rebuilt at some point in the past. its clean. doesn’t leak at all. shifts nice. and is clean. not an old pig. I think it’s a posi trac rear end… I have a build sheet showing options. but couldn’t find it. It was sold new at the Pontiac Dealer in Reno Nevada. License Plate Frames on the car. I had the old green plates hanging on the wall. so they are on for looks only…we keep plates in Idaho. I paid good money for the plate frames. will let those go with the car if agreed to in buy it now offer etc. The underside of this car…floor pans. frame rails look like they are a few years old… like it was 1970. AMAZINGLY DRY AND CLEAN. ODD … no rust or crust or grime or grease. VERY VERY …VERY CLEAN… Perhaps the cars greatest and rarest asset…. IT is SO HARD to find 50 year old cars that are in dry clean ORIGINAL condition… underneath…. I didn’t have a lift. but took some pictures . the best I could…. The door jams are clean and nice. some of the paint is flaking off but its not that noticeable. The doors all open and close nice. The tailgate as well. but you have to hold the small cover piece away or it catches on the stainless trim… another BONNEVILLE ONLY KNOCKOUT OPTION… this is “fancy pants” . and cool…Stainless Steel Load Floor Strips…. Not found in the Catalina…. Again. this was the. KING PONTIAC The car has a set of skirts. but I have not attached them . either I don’t know how. or Im missing something. but its knockout cool looking when they are “on”… I never had them on until I took pictures this morning… this really gives this Wagon a look that is easy to stare at and smile. which people were doing today at the park where I took the pictures… I just took a break and had a glass of milk… my neck was getting stiff from all this typing…. But. I wanted to mention. in brief. the cars shortcomings… The paint job is driver quality… looks nice. people like it. but don’t enter this car in the roadster show and expect people to give it a trophy for best of show paint… it has flaws all over. and although I could go get it touched up. I wouldn’t like the car any better. The only noticeable rust on the car is on the roof where the top meets the rail/ drip molding area. Doesn't bother me. and could be repaired or ignored for another 50 years if the car didn't sit out in Seattle weather etc. The steering wheel is the interiors downfall… I think the car is worth a steering wheel fix… The exhaust hits the center link when turning to sharp to the ??left. I will try to get it fixed before it leaves. simple fix. The AC… not blowing cold. but. the heater does work… Temp Gauge. not reading a temp. likely a wire not connected. This sums up the cars shortcomings. not many. not deal breakers… I don’t want a car with a 10k paint job… if you do. I hope you enjoyed the showing of the car. but don’t buy it. This car has a paint job that attracts people. and makes me feel good because I don’t have to babysit it and obsess over where to park it etc… Its enjoyable this way and is “good enough for me” The AC is likely a 100. 00 fix… not a restoration project. Temp gauge. likely a 2-30 minute fix. Tires are really nice. wheels are my favorite for an old car. could use a polish job. but again… “good enough for me” Pricing… What would a junker cost. then transport it home. Interior gutting and restoration. usually a car gets gutted in the excitement and stays in that phase for years and the car is then a fantasy that you have dumped thousand into and have had zero enjoyment. I KNOW>> Ive done it many times. /p> Then rebuild a motor and transmission. the labor and time of pulling and taking to a shop. then reinstall with new parts. assuming the engine bay and cowl etc are nice like this Wagon is. Then get disc brakes. a cd player. wheels tires. paint job… get the dash redone. the cost to rechome everything. not including the labor and money to pull it and send it off which would usually cause a divorce. or partner separation…depending on your state laws and preferences etc. This is not a project car. its not a ho hum impala wagon. its not needing TLC. Its ready to enjoy. Its far from perfect. but nowhere near a “project” This car is in the "sweet spot" for condition. enjoyment. rarity. usability. etc. and tons of money already put in. to a car with a super sold underbody. body frame and overall excellent condition. Its not a ho hum old clunk that uncle buck would drive. Your wife. your husband. you parents or kids. would all enjoy riding or driving this car. It has seat belts. they are just under the seat… the Dash lights ALL WORK. they have been replaced. The exterior lights all work. LED back up lights. red led license plate light. new headlights…bright… Quiet car to drive. exhaust sounds just right coming out the tailpipes… Antenna is a bit cheasy. cheap fix Back door windows. so many older cars only allow the back windows to go down …almost all the way. WELL…Pontiac Bonnevilles were built for folks that wanted their kids to have the same comfort they did… so the windows go down all the way. which is …. So cool. NOPE. YOU CANT PAY FOR THE REST OF IT WHEN YOU COME GET IT. NOPE. YOU CANT TAKE A SHOWER WITH YOUR BUDDIES BEFORE YOU EPIC ROAD TRIP BACK HOME. NOT GOING TO MAKE YOU DINNER. GO FOR A TEST DRIVE AND HANG OUT WHILE YOUR CELL PHONE CHARGES IN OUR KITCHEN WHILE YOU DETAIL THE CAR IN MY FRONT YARD. ALL THIS GET WEIRD. YOU CAN FLY IN AND DRIVE HOME. I LIVE CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT. I WILL GET THE REST OF THE PICTURES UP ON PHOTOBUCKET MONDAY NIGHT. I think that’s all I can type up tonight. I will not have all the pictures uploaded to photobucket till Monday night. hope to have the videos and ebay pictures up tonight… David On May-03-15 at 04:02:40 PDT. seller added the following information: Video of car at night. 4th video coming.
