Description

2001 Pontiac Firebird Formula for sale. As I understand it, the Formula is the next level above the base Firebird, but they will always have a V8 engine.I do not know the history of this vehicle other than the last 3 years that my father has owned it, and he only drove it 181 miles. He had a collection of 5 of these 4th generation Firebirds (1998-2002)He added numerous items such as the decals on the hood and the fenders, emblems, Rocker moulding ground effects, the rear window louvers, He detailed the engine compartment with chrome covers on the battery and brake fluid reservoir, and added the Founders Performance shock tower brace. He also installed brand new Kumho 245/50R16 tires. So they have approximately 400 miles on them. The rear louvers cost $500.I took possession of the vehicle in May and titled it at 84,966 miles, presently showing 85112, so I have not driven it much. I was able to get classic car insurance for less than $100/yr but for limited mileage of 1000 miles/year.I drove it to a cruise-in recently and got caught in a rainstorm that dumped over 2 inches in 45 minutes and the T-tops did not leak or show any signs of leaking then or during the few times that I have washed it. I have not had the T-tops off.I noticed some drive belt chirping, so I replaced the serpentine belts and all 4 pulleys. Don't know which one was causing the noise, but it stopped. I have not found any other maintenance item to take care of. Everything works, Mirrors, Antennae, security system, door locks, headlights, both key fobs work, no code lights or warnings appear on dash. This vehicle has the Hurst Shifter mechanism from the factory and is documented on the window sticker that will also be included.Non- smoker vehicle in recent years, cannot verify previous usage.Negatives: Inner door panels are cracked in the upper sill area, seems to be a design flaw as most of these panels are cracked. A strip of textured tape has been applied over this crack to minimize it. This can be seen in two of the interior photos. I have not run a carfax type of history report on this vehicle but I suspect that the driver door has had some paint work as evidenced by some paint on the window molding. There are some other slight scuffs that cannot be picked up in the photos very well. There is one on front fascia below passenger headlight that can be seen on the frontal view photo. This right/passenger headlight has a light spider web cracking that may be seen in one of the photos. There is a slight gouge/dent at very front of hood also shown in a photo, and there are some door chips at upper leading edge of the driver door. I have described the flaws to the best of my ability like I would want for anyone else to be honest with me.Positives: Good looking, low mileage, 6- speed hot rod, that is comfortable to drive. It has a good sound, and drives out great. No mechanical issues.Vehicle located in Cookeville, TN. You can call me at 931-644-3911, if no answer please leave a voice recording, because I do not text.
I want to sell this vehicle before the Fall season, so I will be advertising it locally. Thank You
